Jane Lynch Confirmed To Play Sam's Mom!!

    Grown-ups love her. Teenagers love her. And now Jane Lynch is about to win over an even younger demographic by guesting on kiddie fave iCarly!


    The Glee villainess has been cast as the much-mentioned-but-never-before-seen mom of Jennette McCurdy's Sam, sources confirm to me exclusively. Her episode, which goes before the cameras next week, will air during the Nickelodeon hit's upcoming third season.


    It won't just be Gleeks stoked about this casting coup, either. The actress' own 8-year-old stepdaughter is a huge iCarly fan — so huge that Mom even included a reference to it in her wedding vows!

    Jane Lynch is awesome. Lol, I love her as Sue on Glee, i wonder how she'll play Sam's mom.

    Watch 'Two and a Half men' She plays the psychologist, and she is really funny. She is also on 'Glee' but I don't watch that show.

    I am so excited. Jane Lynch is an amazing actress. Just look her up! She's been in tons of movies and a few TV shows. I am so freaking excited to see her on iCarly, even though I know it'll be months away!!

    Oh my gosh that is AMAZINGG!!! Haha clearly I have no life right now....


    For some reason I've always either wanted Sam's mom to never be shown or played by Amy Poehler(random I know) but this is even better. Well IMO. I can't wait to see the new ep, or season 4 in general.

    OK, I think I know who she is (from 2 and A Half Men). Although I don't really think she's funny in that, I expect she will be in iCarly

    Hey! I posted this on the Seddie thread first. Haha anyway yeah I also wanted Amy Poehler to play Sam's mom, but I think I like Jane Lynch better actually.

    Heh, i thought of Amy too at first. But i guess it depends on how they are guna have Sam's mom act. If she was supposed to be more slutty then (no offense to her) I'd think Amy would do i better job than Jane. If they wanted her more tough then Jane would be better imo lol.

    I agree, in my mind I've always seen Sam's mom as slutty because of all the guys she dated and her desire to be "young". Alsosome of those pageant moms can bereally trashy. Inever saw her as too tough, just asfreakishly weird. I love Jane Lynch though, so I bet she would do a good job as a "tough" mom.
