Dan Schneider doesn't have everything in his hands. There are the actors and their parents, the co-writers and directors like Savage Steve Holland and Joe Catania, there's the marketing team of Nickelodeon who need to take care of iCarly being appropriate for the niche they have approved it fot, the laws about what is appropriate for the age group (PG) etc.
Anyways, if I don't like what dan schneider scribbles together, I change it in my fanfics rigorously at any cost, just like in the case Zoey 101 where I've eliminated perversions like Quinn/Logan rigorously at any cost.

Quinn had beem perverted and corrupted, otherwise she would have puked and spit on Logan,, like all decent girls.

| Clearly you people have not seen The Princess and the Frog. Those two were exact opposites, and they turned out great. Naveen and Tiana are such a cute love/ hate couple like Seddie and Quogan (Which weirded me out at first but it grew on me.) and like futureramarama said, the heart wants what the heart wants. All three of these couples need and want each other (even though Sam and Freddie have yet to realize this) and it will all turn out OK. |

People can't help who they are attracted to. I mean, it's TV, but the writers do storylines like this to make the audience still watch, and because it is a good idea in their brains.

there are the nerds, like you described, geeks= smart, socialish, made fun of for being smart, bullied at times, shy, sometimes are video game obsessed, and end up making a great future. then there are people like me and Quinn in the later seasons (she was geeky in the beginning, but got better as they went on) who i like to describe as intellectual bada**. We arent social shut outs, we are smart, we take care of how we look, we make a good living, and we can use our smarts for good and evil (for ex when quin tricked logan into doing all of that stuff for basketball, her laser, etc) but anyway i HATE when people say a geek/nerd/i.b.a cant get together. IMO if you go out with someone who is TOO similar to you the relationship will be boring and wont end up well. Thats why i think Dan made the iCarly characters so well. All 3 are different, yet similar, they balance each other out, so either ship will go well (though Seddie is still better). Certain episodes i can get alittle jealous of him, but then when you think of the work....ugh |
thats the thing isnt it? he DOES control everything, and can unleash a little bit of either ship at any point, and get them all riled up, and it must be amusing to see people all hyped up, and the forums ringing. thats why i like RTS's, REAl-Time Strategy gamas, you have complete control, and anything that goes wrong, you KNOW how it happened.
you know what would really proove he likes to do this to us? if he posted that he was doing a truth-or-dare episode, and wanted suggestions. he get like, BILLIONS of emails. and a LOT of them would be kissing, or some other romantic notion. but, if he did use some peoples suggestions, if would be an interesting episode.
and, i didnt like quogan either, but just because it was random, and all of a sudden. if there was character development, it would ahve been better.
i wonder what his next series is going to be, not that im waiting for icarly to end, well, i kind of am, just to see a ship happen, but i want to know ahed of time what show to watch next.
