I also like how it's not watered down. There's references to boobs and butts. There's a fair amount of physical violence. Spencer was even naked for a few seconds (off-camera, of course) in "iGo to Japan". At the same time, it's not dirty for the sake of being dirty. There are solid plots to keep everything together.

Secondly, there's virtually no competition within Nick itself. The other TEENick shows right now are an Aussie import (H2O), a show that airs next to never (NBB), two shows in reruns (Zoey, D&J), and a show which hasn't had time to build a following (True Jackson).

Thirdly, this is Dan's fifth show. Dan has ruled Nick since 1994 with All That, and is showing no signs of stopping. Dan had all the momentum he needed to slingshot iCarly into Nick's top spot right from the pilot, and that's exactly what he did.

Finally, there are the actors themselves. The chemistry on set could not be better, and the fact Nathan and Jennette are close off-set doesn't hurt at all.

^Right...since it got locked...COPY AND PASTE TIME! ok, here we go:

    1. It's halarious

    2. boys think either girl is cute, so they watch it. Same goes to the girls with Nathan Kress.

    3. People who loved Drake and Josh, has moved on to this show becuase of Miranda.

    4. Kids get to participate in the show through online videos.

    5. It's not too dramatic with "LIKE O-M-G GIRLFRIEND!" unlike Hannah Montana.

    6. It's not just a show for girls, but for guys also. (unlike Hannah Montana, it was mainly aimed towards girls)

    7. Better jokes with better comedy than most other kid shows. It has the same feel as Drake and Josh when it comes to the jokes.

Just for fun, I put up a list of iCarly quotes in my blog.

So does anyone have information on what is going on between the SAG and AMPTP right now? I see a potentially shortened season yet again if things don't go well.

I am digging up this thread because lately we seem to have a problem where people start a trillion little threads for little discussions. All such topics are to be discussed here. Quote the person you're responding to in order to keep things from getting confusing. -Andrea (iCarly editor and moderator)

I agree. I think the Hannah Montana fans get restless. Most people watching Hannah Montana to idolize her(bad stereotype, I know please forgive me) and with iCarly I get a different motive. The characters have amazing chemistry and want to display that on-screen along with the humor. Hannah Montana does the same, but I don't feel that the character's are there to entertain the viewers but rather have a payday. I enjoy both shows, though as you can tell I have a bias opinion. This is my opinion, so no need to flame me. I accept and take in account everybody's opinion if they present it in a respectful manner. As I stated earlier, I think incorporating the fans into the show was a brilliant move and makes iCarly very unique.

As a native Washingtonian, I find it amussing the way they pronounce the name of the town Yakima. They pronounce the final "a" as "uh", where most people from the area pronounce it as "ah". The first syllable is stressed.

    Ya-ki-mah

Can't wait to see if they ever have an episode with Puyallup in it!!!! (pew-al-up)

Lets just bring this back up instead of posting in both the seddie and creddie threads for just one thing. Because otherwise, it'll get annoying to more people.

I've decided to bring this thread up.
Just to talk about general stuff that happens in iCarly.
It would be easier for the board.

Haha yeah. Hopefully there is a lot more seasons of iCarly to come. (Sadly, I reckon this year will be the last).
