Zuko has been labeled a failure by his home nation, and his allegiances have been called into question many times, by his actions. Do you think, in the future seasons, Zuko will eventually join Aang? At least, so that he can let his home have a future, after over a hundred years of hard war?

If they didn't waste those minutes in the Blue Spirit when Zuko is deciding something, he most likely will join (or to something nice for the others) in the future.

It would be an odd situation but I do sense that Zuko will join the group.

    Answer: yes. (Sorry Pooldude. )

    Question: When?

I don't think it will happen right away, although I could be wrong. I think the writers will string it out for a while. Heck, maybe they'll string it out 'til the finale of book 3! I sure hope not. I haven't been very good at predicting things with any accuracy. Of course, that's partly why I like the show so much: I get surprised a lot.

    1. Zuko might join Aang and help him before Aang's big day.
    2. Zuko might help Aang to save his life then continue to hunt him down.
    3. Something might happen on that big day which is about to make Aang die and Zuko sacrifice his own (or just save him).

2 and 3 can both happen together.

    Yup. There you go.

I just hope Zuko doesn't really die, because I would seriously cry for a week! I think he might put himself in harm's way and get badly hurt and then the gang could help him. With Aang becoming a fully-realized Avatar, and with Katara being able to heal burns, one would think they should be able to patch him up.

inevitably he will. only because he's not the #1 badguy. the #1 bad guy never turns good. but occasionally a lesser bad guy, like Zuko, will join opposing forces to take down a larger more deadly force.

I'm still holding out hope...I enjoy conflict, drama, action...and with Aang and Zuko together in the same group, I fear those elements will be somewhat diminished. However...

My theory is possibly Zuko (and Iroh if he's still alive) joins them, but after 1 or 2 eps something happens and Zuko leaves or tries to capture Aang again or something. I honestly think the show might not be as good if the two groups merged just because there is less conflict. There will still be the whole fire nation/Azula-Aang & group conflict, but there wont be the Zuko-Aang conflict...

I think I am the only one on the planet who still thinks Zuko won't join the others. I could be wrong, but as I've said before, if I am, I would rather it be done right and not in some stupid "Oh Aang I'm sorry for trying to hunt you down and kill you..." crap.

There is less conflict already between the two. Even when they are fighting, they look like their in sparing matches, not mortal combat! Zuko and Aang work better as a team, and sooner or later, Zuko is going to find that his father wants no part of him.

That's the only reason he's trying to hunt down Aang. I think Zuko, like Aang, wants what's best for the people. Zuko has just lost sight of that, since that fateful fire duel.

*curls up in a ball* Too....much.....kindness!!!!!!!!! The show is supposed to get darker, not softer. I just don't want this show to turn into some sort of sap-fest, and that's what your all making me think! I don't know anymore *bangs head on wall*

Let me throw a wrench in here just for fun. If Zuko were to join Aang, it doesn't necessarily mean that there would just be one big happy group traveling around. Has anyone considered the possibility that Aang, Katara and Sokka might not stay together?

I'm not suggesting that such a split would be voluntary-- I AM suggesting that something might happen that would separate Aang from K & S, just as he became separated from them in the Blue Spirit episode. I think it's possible that there might be a temporary split in story lines down the road with (1) Aang and Zuko, either where they work together to escape Azula or where she captures Aang and Zuko has to try and get him back; and (2) Katara and Sokka doing something else, maybe trying to find out where Aang is, or maybe helping to get the waterbenders and earthbenders together to defend Ba Sing Seh or something. I don't know if that's likely, but it's a possibility.

I'm not sure where Iroh would fit into all this. Hopefully he would still be alive...

I don't know why people keep thinking that Iroh will die. I mean the guy isn't that old and he has no health problems and he's always the one who stays out of the fights unlike his Nephew. And besides he has to be alive so he and Zuko can tell Ozai what they think of him.

And yes Zuko and Iroh will team up with Aang and company. by the end of Book 2.

After all I Speak The Truth.

I'm with you on that, pooldude. Zuko needs to keep his edge! I was hoping Sawyer would be the next to die on Lost because he was becoming a teddy-bear but then he reclaimed his strips and made a fool of Locke and Jack in the process (not a Locke or Jack fan). I have faith in the Avatar writers that this show WILL take a darker path!!

As for Zuko joining Aang? It'll be the death of Iroh that turns him, and I fear Iroh's hourglass of life has almost run out of sand.

Dang, I can't stop talking about the death of Iroh lately. Maybe I should change my pen name from FreakishChild to DeathProphetess.

I agree with pooldude. I'm kind of hoping Zuko doesn't join up with Aang, I don't know why, but it seems almost cliched to me.

i think that sence zuko is a enemy to the fire lord and the time he saved aang and later aang gave him that pep talk afterwords (you know if it was 1000 years ago do you think we wold have been friends?) he might think about that while he is on the run in book 2
