what I don't get is why some people think that Zuko will be Aang's Firebending teacher. Sure its someones opinion, but its not practicall.

    1. Hes not a Master
    2. He doesn't have a full undersatanding of the element
    3. Not so much of the teaching type

idk who Aang's teacher will be but at least saying that it could be Jeong Jeong or Iroh is at least practical

I can tell you right now that not everything in life is "practical." Do you find Aang learning Earthbending from a twelve-year-old blind girl practical? hmmm...not really when you think about it. But I'm more for Iroh teaching Aang anyway

sure not everything in life is practical. i just cant see Zuko as Aangs teacher because he doesnt know the element well enough to teach it. The reason why i think at least its somewhat practical for Toph to teach him earthbending is because she knows the element well enough and she waits. the main point im trying to get at is i dont see Aang's teacher to be someone who hasnt mastered the element.?? Katara mastered water, Toph mastered Earth, and Aang's firebending teacher has to be a master or what kind of point does he have learning from a novice? Azula would be a better teacher than Zuko because she knows it better. But highly doubt Azula will teach Aang for obvious reasons.

Yeah, but even some people were all, "Eh, Katara got good too fast! How is SHE a master? Blah blah blah...." so people are always skeptical against the kids teaching someone. I understand what you are saying because Iroh is waaaay more experienced and HAS mastered fire, but somehow I see Zukodoing it, with Iroh helping him. I dunno.

Maybe it'll help him through his "spiritual crisis"....

Zuko is not a master, but becomming a master bender doesn't seem to take much time in this show.

Or at least the end of The Earth King

Iroh said in Bitter Work that it was Zuko's inner turmoil that was keeping him from bending lightening...it's possible that's also the only thing holding him back from truly mastering his element.?? His father doesn't appear to have ever offered him any sort of encouragement, while at the same time doting on his sister...he's??branded him a failure, an embarrassment...if you're told something like that often enough, especially by someone you hold in such high esteem, you're eventually going to believe it.??

If and when he can put his past behind him, I figure Zuko will surprise a lot of people...

    1. Katara isn't a master in terms of skill. Toph isn't a master at all

    2. Neither does Katara, course Zuko actually has defeaten a master.

    3. Neither was Toph, she was a drill seargent. And in Zuko Alone he had no trouble teaching that kid how to use swords

    4. He fits the same profile as Katara and Toph, namely a kid. Its most likely either Zuko, or a new firebender (like Toph) will be introduced.

Nick's going out of its way to develop Zuko's story from him being his fathers pawn to a good guy. Him joining Aang to take on his father, become the new Firelord and innitiate peace seems like the path they are creating.

I may like to see Zuko as Aang's classmate. Iroh would be teacher, but he'd need some time away from his tea shop. I wonder if they can find a place to learn and to practice. Maybe Appa can take them to the cave Appa was hiding in when Suki found him. Maybe they can find Jeong Jeong to help with more advanced lessons?

Toph is a master, or at least more than Katara. She's been doing it six years longer and has an advantage because she's hypersensitive (can feel vibrations and people's heartbeats). Someone said that Toph teaching Aang isn't practical because she's a twelve-years old blind girl and while that's true, she's still a master, it's??plenty practical because she's also a master of neutral jing (the key to earthbending). Katara did master waterbending much too fast but waterbending came easy to Aang so I guess it really didn't matter whether his master was??a true master, and had been doing this??for years. I'd say Zuko is as much a firebending master as??Katara is water (probably more)??and since she taught Aang??and he's doing fine, Zuko probably will teach him. Besides Aang was able to make fire in the deserter, I'm sure he'll be fine even if he's not learning from the greatest firebending master in the world. All the masters have been beaten before, too. Aang's been beaten, Katara's been beaten, Toph's been beaten so who cares if Zuko was beaten by Azula and isn't the best in the world (apparently, neither is she, Iroh beat her).

Plus I always believed Zuko would end up as firelord when the series ended so, him joining Aang, or even not but it just seems likely, he'll go against his father and defeat firelord Ozai and fulfill his destiny as both Aang's firebending master and by becoming the new firelord.

I think that would work out fine. They would have to leave the earth kingdom to practice because fire bending is well you know. I luv this idea by the way

Katara has been working on waterbending for much of her life and managed to find her own way of doing things. Many of the moves Katara used in her fight with Pakku ("The Waterbending Master" chapter) were not things she could have picked up from that waterbending scroll she stole ("The Waterbending Scroll" chapter).

Toph had to find her own way of doing things, too, since her dad didn't want her to do anything he thought might be too difficult for her. Katara has more in common with Toph than with Pakku's "regular" students.

Ok... heres what I think will happen with Zuko and Aang:

I think Iroh will stay in Ba Sing Sei (not sure on spelling) and run his tea shop, and that (possible spoilers coming up) when Zuko becomes sick in an upcoming episode, he will realize that he should turn his life around, and when he becomes trapped with Katara, they will become friends, or something.

As for Zuko not being a master... well there are a few episodes left until the season finale.?? Maybe he will wake up from being sick and suddenly be a master.?? Or something like that...

But of course thats just what I think...

Did you??watch the waterbending scroll? She sucked in that episode as far as "she's been working on it all her life" goes, and if she did "know" those moves, why didn't she teach them to Aang? Is he just selfish or what? It's amazing, and imho a big plot whole that she did get so good, when Aang was better and there were, what three or four moves on that scroll. Whatever, it's an animated show, nothing has to make sense it just can't be ridiculous enough for everyone to realize something is up.
