Aang- Happy and optimistic 24/7? Have you watched the movie? Obviously not. You're being presumptious. Sokka is not goofy all the time either. He usually intends to be serious, but gets excited and looses control. Katara is the glue that holds them together, but has her bottom line too. Toph is a little sassy, but she does have feelings, sure, she's a powerful blind earthbender, but due to her blindness, she has limits and can get frustrated, another emotion. Zuko is not an official good guy, he is patriotic towards his country, and wants to please his father without anyone getting hurt, but sometimes he stoops low to get what he wants. He is determined, but sympathetic. What were you saying about the characters not being deep? |
??I'm a FMA fan myself. FMA has many twist and turns and the end of the show was so unexpected. Not like Avatar there were only 1 thing that surprised me Zuko in the blue sprit, but that's all! I know the show is not over yet but they are most likely to only have 1 more season left.

For someone who only takes the show at face value, you seem pretty strong in your convictions. So you're saying that you,?? a person who watches the show in passing, knows the truth, and we, the superfans, are avoiding it? The line between good and bad in the show is blurred. Why can't YOU see that? Whay makes you so sure Zuko is all good? He steals from innocent people, he stoops low when he has to. Yet, an equal part of his personality is good. This is not the type of show where everyone is either "this" or "that" and no in between. If that is the conclusion you draw from it, you're obviously not watching the show in a non-biased way. You can't watch it and be convinced that this is as it is and such, that only makes you block out anything else that may prove you wrong.
For how much you say you??hate Avatar I find it a little odd that you can't find anything better to do on a Friday Night or a Saturday Afternoon. I mean you could not pay me to watch a show I think is Abysmal and a "Complete waste of time" . So have you ever asked yourself, why do I keep watching it? Maybe, you watch it because it does have a very deep plot, yet you just can't admit it.

1. Are you so sure he'll master all four? He has only a couple of month, and it took him a rather long time to get just waterbending down. Plus, in The Deserter, he said he would never use firebending again. This would puthim at a disadvantage should he ever face the Fire Lord.
2. It's a Nick show aimed originally at 9-11 year olds. Sometimes, to keep the target audience, you need a bit of fun. In the end though, the entire PLOT is a serious one. How many other Nick shows deal with death in almost every episode? Or wars for that matter?
3. Everything needs comic relief. In my opinion, the writers balance this well. End of story.
4. There are plenty of goals for each character. Zuko wants his honor. Katara and Sokka are trying to find their father. Toph is running away from her overprotective family, and avoiding being??captured. Etc, Etc
5. The Secret of the Fire Nation brings back quite afew old characters. The problem with having reoccuring side characters is that the??group is traveling. So, that side character would have to chase them all around the globe to meet up again!
6. Aang is the main character. He's the Avatar. The show is about him. End of Story! The writers balance the Zuko/Aang episodes well.
7.This one point truly gives away that you don't watch the show much. Each bending art is based off a different form of Chinese martial arts. The Style is never the same for two elements. You are??obviously not watching the show closely enough. If so, don't make presumptions!??

5 reasons okay but this is my opinoion 1.Obvious from the start. You know that Aang will master the 4 elements and you know he's going to stop the fire lord. 2.More serious characters! The only main character who is serious most of the time is Zuko. 3.To corny. Avatar should really have less comic relief. (But I have to admit Sokka was really funny in the dessert.) 4.There are no more goals except to master the 4 elements to stop the fire lord and to catch the Avatar. 5.Needs more reoccuring charactes. Such as allies, friends, foes. 6.To much Aang! I know there are some Zuko episodes but Aang has way to much. 7.Same fighting styles over and over agian. There needs to be more fighting styles. |

You're the one who's repetitive you just can't except that some of my points are right! You're the one who is making me fight back for the sake of my own opinion! |
Quite the other way around. You stated your opinion. We stated ours. You then contradicted yourself with another opinion, we defended ours. You went back to your original argument, we continued to defend ours. None of your points are correct...not in the least. I wont accept anything that is wrong, then I'd be a fool. Remember one thing when attacking the integrity of a show on forums devoted to said show...you're going to have a lot of people disagreeing. We will defend our opninions feircly, because we are fans. If you feel you're being attaked, or that your opinion is, I suggest not trying to start trouble by making a thread like this in an Avatar forum
