Who thinks Aang will die at the end of the series?

    FL: ?! you should be dead
    Aang: Not... While... I... Can... Protect... Her... Even, if that... Means i must... Leave her... *has vision of him with the whole avatar state thing from CoD* And... now... i... Can! (goes avatar state and kicks the holy snot out of the firelord)

    Meh, i do bad fanfics =P
    Anyway, yeah, he will kinda die, the pull out the Avatar State and save the day, then he will die about 100 years later and stuff, it's likely we hear something about his leyend, "Being the first and only avatar that knew his idententy at the age of 12, he stopped a 100-year old war, and repopulated the Air Nomads, Avatar Aang."

    When reading this, I heard "Power of Love" from the English dub of the Sailor Moon movie in my head. XD But I wouldn't be surprised if something similar to this happened.

    Despite the depth of storytelling, it is still fundamentally a family oriented show. That means sad things happen along the way, but in the end, everything works out and they all live happily ever after minus the bad guys.

    i disagree that the chances of a zutara get-together are looking slim. i think the chances look great.

    He won't die, Azula won't die. Only Sokka will die.

    Just kidding.

    The Fire lord will die. Aang will live...

    The thing is, the guys have shown they aren't past a depressing turn of events. Think about it, at the end of the 2nd season, Zuko abandoned all of his development and turned evil which is something that you don't really expect from a kid's show. Along with lots of other things in Avatar... Whether or not Aang will die is not certain although he'll probably live. I still say there's a good chance Zuko may die at the end.

    You are right in that Bryke aren't afraid of a little bit of a dark ending. However, just because they could kill someone off, doesn't mean they will. I think it would add to the impact if there was a death. I want someone to die, but I don't want anyone to be dead.

    I understand that that would make their world imbalanced but at some point and time hes gonna die anyway whether it be age or not. But because of the fact that he is in avatar, a temporary manifestation or aspect of a continuing entity. He can not exist in his world forever. He will die and the circle will end.

    I feel that he will die at the end and be reincarnated as just a normal person in the future, then he and katara will meet again, or he will meet a descendant of katara.

    His death will bring imbalance but it will force the other three nations to join together and work harder in order to keep that balance. Then an avatar will no longer be necessary.

    Except with only three nations there (or is it their) isn't balance as the Earth Kingdom has nothing to balance with, so in order to create balance the Avatar would have to let the FN keep the EK.

    I'm pretty sure that he's gong to die because then fans will make a reason for another season and they aren't going to have another season

    With the the fire lord defeated and the earth kingdom freed the three other nations could live in harmony. I feel that unless they find other airbenders before the series finale, the airbender race will die with aang at the end of this season. Someone made the argument that most kids shows never have sad endings(most of the times). Look at the end of Oban Star Racers. The ending was sad but it completed teh series, and i feel that oban was an unbelievably great show. Just cuz someone dies doesnt mean thats a bad thing. I can see it now. Aang is looking down at his friends happy that he could help reunite their world. As the other Avatars tell him how great a job he has done. That would be kinda cheesy but i feel that it is possible. Like i said when i created this post, i dont want aang to die. I would much rather see him die and come back to life as a normal boy, just being an airbender instead of an avatar. Then his relationship with katara could actually occur. But i dont see that happening, cuz then everybody would be begging for another season. (Avatar:The Last Air-Waterbender) I think that would just spoil what the writers and artists have created up to this point a show that wil be remember for years to come. I just hope the writers of the upcomming film dont screw up the script and get overly creative to the point to where they change everything.(X-Men Trilogy, it sucked.)

    If Aang dies in a sacrificing sort of way, then he will really become "Kung Fu Action Jesus". XD
