| Im going by the fact that the show is called the last airbender. Usually in chinese prophecy and literature everything is written in stone. If he and Katara(sorry if i spell her name wrong) got together eventually off spring would occur, and though they would be (water benders and ari benders) that would still mean he wasnt the last airbender. |
That could explain why it was changeed for just about every country but the USA and Canada.

| Even though i dont want it to happen, all signs point towards Aang dying at the end of the series. The avatar exists for one reason to bring peace between the four nations. The only way i see aang living beyond the end of this season is that they find a greater threat than the fire nation. Aang and Katara isnt gonna happen. Im not going by the fact that she looked sad after he kissed her "Day of the Black Sun" im going by the fact that the show is called the last airbender. People are going to argue that that is just a subtitle but i just dont see aang living at the end of the series. He will take down the fire nation but he will sacrifice himself in the process. That would be the most memorable way for the series to end. |
Just so you know your advertising in the "The Spoiler of their mothers" thread has made me now lose all respect for you.

I actually heard that 'bender' is a derogatory term for homosexuals? And that's why they changed the title. Or at least it means something innapropriate. But I don't think that Aang's the last airbender, and nor do I think he's going to die.

Then he'd spend a lot of time playing with his arrow. :p
What if Aang returned his spirit to the spirit world, taking all bending with him?
Okay. I have three theories.
Theory 1: Aang will die at the end of the series. Everyone will be more than sad, he would have killed the Firelord at the same time as he was either hit or the imapct was just too much for him. (ex: He was in the Avatar State for way too long and died after he got out.)
Theory 2: This is the most probable theory. It is pretty obvious that the ending will be like the most dramatic thing you'll ever set eyes on. I think that Aang will be close to dying. I just can't fathom how he could get out of the most massive battle of the series unharmed. The most emotional fans will cry. I garuntee that, and I think it will get so emotional that his friends will cry too. And the Firelord will die in some way or form.
Theory 3: Aang will die, the Firelord will die. It'll be extremely sad. (NO KIDDING.) But the spirits of the Spirit World and the past Avatars will grant him a second chance because he saved the world from 100 years of warfare. They give him the choice to return and he does.
Years pass, blah, blah, blah...and stories are told of their adventures. Everyone calls Aang, "the greatest Avatar who ever lived" and more respect is given to the Avatar (especially when Avatar Aang lived) than any other figurehead in the world.
There.
Done.

I'm going with Theory 3 cause even though Aang isn't my fav character Katara who is my favorite would be really sad if Aang died exspically since around that time she would fully love him and I think they would make a great couple.
