Who is the most capable non-bender?

Which non-bender would you select to team with in combat?

Whilst bending forms the majority of the combat in Avatar, there are some skilled non-benders. The question is...which non-bender would you desire to have on your team in combat? Do you desire either the sword of Piandao, the whip of June, Ty Lee's chi blocking abilities, Jet's hook swords, the arrows of the Yu Yan Archers...the list could continue for many more lines. Understandably, I could not include everyone in the poll. If your choice is Sokka, Suki, or anyone else omitted from the poll, do not become offended.

I would select Ty Lee. As she demonstrated in episode 2-13, The Drill, she is capable of defeating many capable benders. Of course, I would not be disappointed to have either Piando or the Yu Yan Arhcers on my team.

    ty lee, june, jet

ty lee with the chi blocking maggic taking out like 50 earthbenders and katara.

june because of the shirshu and without the shirshu, but probably isnt as capabl fighting a good bender like katara, jet, as shown, took out like 20 soldiers by himself and is skilled

and shoudlnt suki be on that least....she is pretty good....as seen in the boiling rock

I included an "other" option for those who would select Suki, Mai, Sokka , or any other non-bender. I was also contemplating Piandao. His skill with a sword is unparalleled.

    Sokka

I really couldn't, if I were in the Avatar world, see myself traveling without Sokka to laugh at (definately not with), but Suki is a close second...

all the other non-benders are too profesional... no fun there... and Ty Lee I couldn't care less wether or not... and of course Mai is my least favorite avatar character of all time

I understand what you are saying, but I meant the question as "who would you want on your side in a combat role?".

based strictly on that, I'd say suki or piandao

I would have to say Ty Lee as first because she has a great fighter techique, Sokka is good, but he makes a lot of mistakes

Yeah, Ty Lee's ability to render benders useless would extraordinarily helpful in any combat situation.

but what's the fun in that, I'd want a chance to pwn enemies too, not just watch them get disabled by Ty Lee's pressure point attack system

I see where you're coming from, but I would take Ty-Lee. Piandao and Jet are swordsmen, and I don't think are that capable in hand to hand combat. June is tough because of her sheershoo, so that leaves Ty-Lee who is naturally gifted at doing those chi-blocking punches.

I did not expect Ty Lee to be such a popular choice.

Toss up between Ty Lee and Piandao for me.

Ty Lee is extremely useful since she can disable benders.

Piandao though is a great swordsman. Also, pulled from this little bit on avatarwiki.

One day, the Fire Nation army came to arrest him for deserting the army. In a legendary battle, Piandao defeated all one hundred soldiers. The Fire Nation Army never bothered him again.

Yes, Piandao is skilled. To be honest, this is and was (for me) a tough decision. They are all highly skilled.

I suspect that Piandao would be my choice. He is a master; during Sozin's Comet (and not just during that), he managed NOT to kill himself and defeat many Fire Nation soldiers. Ty Lee would be my second choice.

I am willing to argue that Piandao is the most powerful on all fronts compared to the other choices. Anyone up for a good debate? Huh? Anyone? Is there someone who'd like to?

Piandao. According to his profile in the episode info of "Sokka's Master" on Nick.com, he took down over 100 Fire Nation soldiers who tried to capture him after he defected from the army. They left him alone after that.

Ty Lee's got nothing on him.

I'll say Piandou because he's a serious sword master. Suki comes in close second because she can handle a weapon and match Ty Lee like in the Boiling Rock.

I say Suki because, like the person above said, she can handle a weapon well. But Ty Lee would be a close second because of her ability to disable enemies.
