Yeah, I mean, frankly WAT looked downright sloppy in places.

I was sort of interested in Toph's animation after Zuko burned her feet and she was trying to get away. The animation was unusually fluid; it looked weird, but it was kind of cool.

That reminded me a lot of "Kid's Story" from the "Animatrix," as well as the action sequences in "Samurai Champloo."

I know this is going to be really sad but I remember in the very first DVDs when the voice-over announcer not only mispronounced Appa but Sokka as well. LOL That was sooooo annoying. Luckily in the later DVDs they corrected it.

But it was like "Join Sokka (pronounced Soak-ka), Aang and Katara on their adventures riding on Appa (not Ah-pah but Aaa-pah)."

    So sad.

    *cringes* Ugh.. I can imagine..

First DVD, you say? Huh, I should listen to that and see how much it bothers me.

I totally understand what you're saying. That bothered me too. The first time I saw that commercial I jumped up off the sofa and yelled "It's Appa, you idiot!" I was seriously relieved to see it corrected later on.

Hmmm... I like to pay attention to voice sound. Has anyone else noticed that Katara sounded like she had a cold in The Avatar and The Firelord (not that it was a bad thing, it just sort of... stuck out to me). Overall, I do like how the voices mature. I especially like how Sokka's voice had mature (in a way).

Toph's eyes. When she was first introduced, they were green(pale, but definitely green). But in some later episodes, they're just flat grey. That bugs me. I always liked the "cloudy" green look. The flat grey eyes bother me because then she looks like any other blind character, but if there's green there, everyone knows she's from the Earth Kingdom. I don't know, this sounds so wrong, but I think blind people deserve some color to their eyes, lol.

You know what I never noticed that change but now that you mention it I just realized a lot of fanart features Toph with a greenish hue to her eyes. That's a very cool observation.

I've took notice of that, too. I always seem to look at the eyes. Especially, Toph's, Zuko's, and Aang's.
Sometimes, Zuko's scarred eye has either a different shade of amber (possibly even orange-brown) or lacks a glint like the other eye- while in other shots, the colors are similar in the palette and/or he has a shine in both eyes.
Aang always seems to have grey eyes, but they do change to brown in a few scenes and stay that way. Basically, I've come to the conclusion they are the hazel-grey. It's funny because I see the brown eyes feature when he's in a darker place/facing an intense moment in the later episodes. I'm still trying to find enough proof of that, however.

I also take notice of Zuko's hair. XD I do a lot of Zuko fanart on my computer, and I notice just how seasonal it is. In the colder seasons, it's black/darker and progressing lighter shades in the summer. Of course, there are some animator mistakes in that palette, such as 'The Awakening' and parts of 'The Beach.'

    Another thing is irony.
Someone mentioned here earlier how Azula said 'It's terrible when you can't trust the people who are closest to you.'
As soon as something happens that relates to said statement, I immediately think back to that pervious statement. "Irony, much?"

I pay half a mind for animation. There're are good ones and bad ones- that's all I can really say. I don't have a particular company I favor.
It's voice acting that I love to listen and compare. The maturing voices are amazing (even as they pitched Zach's lines after he started puberty). Katara's voice definately transformed, which somehow intrigues me. Sokka's voice somewhat changed and Zuko's just became calmer and less stressed.
