Aang has been training almost everyday, jsut isn't shown on the show, but I must say Aang could not have been good enough to the point to create that zoo in Tales of Ba Sing Se.

He's a prodigy (of course) so he can learn bending techniques with easy. Just like that episode where Katara was teaching Aang some moves and he mastered them all within seconds.

I'm not asking for bending training in every episode, i'm only saying that it would be cool if we could actually see him learning new moves, attacks or bending combos. Untill now book 2 has not been consentrating enough on actually showing how the avatar masters earth! I think that's wrong, they should show more of Thop teaching Aang, and i also miss thop's "view" when fighting.

You know whats stupid, in "The Waterbending Scroll", it only took Aang a few seconds to be able to move water for the first time.

He had a few advantages in that. As the Avatar, he has an easier time than most learning to bend. Kind of a muscle memory. Also, bending water and fire would be similar to bending air, and we know he mastered air already. Katara only knew a few basic techniques that she developed on her own

I think what ppl don't like is how quickly Aang got Waterbending but Katara was still able to pass him up...but those ppl have to understand that Aang is a "goofy kid" no focus and drive at all and that Katara being??much more mature(two years older AND girls mature faster already) she pushed while Aang goofed off and what do ya know Katara an honorary Master

Yeah. he sees a??crappy bending move??and masters it because he probably knows what it should look like, and about him having to train in the eastern tepmle, simple concept: 4 temples; 4 places; 4 styles that are different, yet the same.??

Two reasons.?? They were also dealing with Katara learning waterbending since she hadn't received any real teaching until they reached the Northern Water tribe, and they were using it as a storytelling tool to explain it to the audience.?? In Rurouni Kenshin, they had a character that was established to be inexperienced in actual combat that had to have a lot of things explained to him.?? J.K. Rowling also uses two characters to provide any exposition that is needed.?? Hermione can know it because she read it in a book somewhere; Professor Dumbledore will know the information because of his vast experience.

poor arrow, imagine in book 3 that aang is training so hard all elements (like each 30 minutes he change [not real minutes] )and he goes like that for some hours he finally gets a break and he notice his arrows are partially missing, just some spots are still there and he starts crying or something he almost enters the avatar state but he notice that he is barely even glowing, and meanwhile toph is like: wtf? since when does aang have arrows?, and in his head?
