Hoping Toph doesn't die and believing Toph will die are to different and non-conflicting thoughts. You can hope all you want but there is some evidence (weak and open to interpretation) that she will die.

She will be returned alive to the custody of her family, either by choice or by force.

Why is everyone wondering if Top will die, Aang loves Katara, it would be more dramatic and meaningful is she died. I'm not just saying this cause I hate her, but everyone is wondeirng if Toph will die, but if Katara died, then Aang would go CRAZY in the Avatar State.

I think when she gets to Ba Sing Sa she is gonna deside to stay there.

I used to support that theory, but now, GET OVER IT PEOPLE, I seriously doubt that Nickelodeon would kill off a main character. Especially Toph. She's too interesting to kill off. They only made the Swamp show loved people to bring back Yue and show Katara and Sokka's mom. I bet that if Toph was like a dream or something people wouldn't think she would die.

The swamp could've showed people who are not in your life. (in Katara and Sokka's experience, Their mom is dead, and so is Yue. But they're laso not in their lives. Neither was Toph in Aang's at that point. Plus he's the avatar, different rules may aply to him.)

Dude...if they have Toph die, Im am gonna hold the friggin biggest grudge ever...I'll send lots of rude letters to nick....in red ink xD MWUAHAH. So I suggest they don't kill her off...if they know what's good for them...*does a weird Peter Griffin laugh*

Why kill off Toph anyway, there are thousands of reasons why Aang would enter the Avatar State, just put Katara into a damsel in distress situation again and presto: Avatar State. Toph is my all time favorite character, Nick can't kill her off. She's too important and has too much of an interesting background to kill her off.

Also, I dont get why noone remembers this. The swap dude said that you see people in the swap that you lost, you loved OR(notice the OR beause everyone thinks the person is all of the above choices), someone you were going to meet. So how could anyone get info that Toph would die from that?

This implies that Troph will possibly die. Why? Well to further the plot and add complex tragedy. Death and tragedy are very powerful effectors in a plot, though not normally seen in an American children's show Avatar is not exactly a normal American children???s show. How Troph will die I have no clue, though I have my hopes that it will be by being crush under a rock, because of delightful irony. I also have my bets on Iroh kicking the bucket and not just Zuko but Azula turning good.

The only reason people think that Toph will die is because of the Swamp thing. Toph will not die, she is the only person of the Earth Kingdom in the Main and Major cast. She's too important to kill off. Its like killing Katara or Uncle Iroh off. Nick can't do it. The fans wouldn't let them live it done. I wouldn't.
