I don't think the cycle will be broken IF he dies, remember, it's only if he dies in the Avatar state when that would happen.

yeah, but then what would happen once the cycle goes back to air again? would an airbender just appear out of nowhere?... hopefully Aang isn't really the last airbender. who knows.

No, Aang is the last airbender. There are none left. This was confirmed at NYCC. But, all because there are no airbenders left doesn't prevent the Avatar from being able to bend air. I'm sure the next avatar will have the power to bend all FOUR elements, not just three. All because the people are wiped out doesn't mean the element doesn't exist.

yeah. but they probably wouldn't be as good as the previous avatars with airbending since the previous avatars had masters to teach them. but that's not what i'm saying though. in the cylce, when the avatar is suppose to be a firebender then an avatar from the fire nation will possess the powers. then when that person dies the cycle goes to the air nomads since the next avatar has to be born of air decent. but how is that then possible with aang being the last of his kind?

Aang has to survive so he can make babies. Simple as that.

Hmm, I didn't think of that. That'll be a problem. I highly doubt they'll have a future Avatar if they make a new series, though. It'll be one in the past.

I hope he doesn't die, that would be a massive tear-jerker there. I'm almost crying thinking about it. =(

yeah so they're going to have a problem with that sooner or later. but if their new series is going to be something about the past, it'll hopefully be something about Iroh's Adventures.

It would be so epic. I hope a main character dies. I need the epicness. I NEED it. Oh my god. In 21 hours and 25 minutes avatar will be over!

That's because Avatars are pwnacious. Wisdom, bending, and an almighty Avatar Spirit.

Ahhh, you'd be surprised. Mike and Bryan are phenomenal. I'm sure it won't be too hard to think up another story if they have any say in it.

oye but i have a question... didnt Azula hit Aang with that thunderbolt when he was in the avatar state killing him? and he was brought back by Katara's magic water? doesnt that mean that he was technically killed in the avatar state leading to the extinction of all avatars? lol this is in response to what'll happen after the last episode... and no i dont think he'll die, its way to serious for Nick.

He was totally dead. How do you get hit in the spine with lightning and not die? Have you not seen the gaping wound on his back? XP

Ah, that's where you're wrong. The avatar world is not much unlike our own. People are still mortal. But, we just had a very long arguement about this on another thread. It has never been made absolutely, ridiculously clear. But, I think we can safely assume one or the other by the end of tomorrow.

lol not much unlike our own... oh yea because in our world people can move earth and water with a simple "swish" of their hands and make fire balls come out of their palms and lets not forget people in our world can of course ride their little air balls to anywhere they please. and lets not forget all the wonderful crossbreads of animals in our world... you know like the pig rooster. um... i'm pretty sure "in the world of avatar... anything is possible."

yes but jet is not a main character and he's a non-bender so therefore it wouldn't take that much to kill him. while aang is the main character and divine.... it'll take much more to kill him.
