I don't think the cycle will be broken IF he dies, remember, it's only if he dies in the Avatar state when that would happen.

I sort of hope so..no more avatars would result in that probably and then no more bending from any future people will be cool too.

Per the topic: I've always said that Aang is on the hero's journey and because of that it might mean that he doesn't get to have a happy ending per se but a 'hero's ending.'

Like Frodo in LOTR, Aang may not be the same after fulfilling his destiny, making it impossible for him to have a 'normal life' with Katara.

Wasn't Frodo tempted by the ring, and eventually put it on, only to have that weird little guy bite his finger off and fall into the volcanoe with the ring?

I don't see Aang giving in to temptation, and in CoD he proved that when he was going into the Avatar State.

Just because there's not Avatar doesn't mean there are no benders.

Before Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows came out most people thought Harry would die and he didnt so I think that Aang could die but I dont think he will.

I know. I was daring to dream, it would be balance if no one could bend.

I can't remember his name, but he was that ugly little bastard who was always saying "My precious" about the ring.

well considering Avatar is always rated Y7 or PG, & most Kids arn't big in seeing their heros Die, im gonna say he's probably not gonna die I think that the only people that will Die will Be the firelord, Zula & mabye Katara's Dad, but Im gonna have to say Ang will live, the world will be at peace & the Avatar chain will be broken with him so he can lead a normal life or as close to one in a world like Angs. ( I mean theres so many weird animals.)

I mean whats up with people these days its like you actually enjoy watching Cartton & Anime Characters die...you people are just..well MORBID!

Well if he does die I would love to see the spin-off be about the next Avatar, then we can still see some of the characters we have now.

well it's a kids show, but they did do some ..... things kids show usually don't do so?
Kid shows also usually don't majorly hint at sex, like TSR did.

I hope that if he dies, that the Avatar cycle is broken and that people learn to live in a world without the Avatar.

lol i was just watching spongebob this afternoon and that show had patrick in a bathtub waiting to scrub squidward's back... so i think TSR wasn't that bad. plus they didn't even have Suki come into the tent.

yeah, but then what would happen once the cycle goes back to air again? would an airbender just appear out of nowhere?... hopefully Aang isn't really the last airbender. who knows.

    Will Aang Die?

    Yeah. Right.

I really think he SHOULD, because that would be a cool explanation to how benders died out: the Avatar: The balance of all four elements, was killed in the Avatar State, therefore he couldn't reincarnate, so benders died out.
But this is Nickelodeon, that ain't gonna happen, and after everything he's been through it probably wouldn't be right.

No one is going to die! seriously

Ozai is going to loose his powers because Zuko's cutting off his hair! just like Sansom ozai will be vulnerable.

Azula: shes going to get wasted on cactus juice, and become a junkie. eventually she'll end up in a ward drawing pitctures with her own secretions.

Zuko: Hes a vegestable after that lighting blow from azula, btw I saw the commercial multiplye time and its safe to say that he took a fire blast not a lightning shot.

    Taang is going to happen

    katara will marry haru!

No, Aang is the last airbender. There are none left. This was confirmed at NYCC. But, all because there are no airbenders left doesn't prevent the Avatar from being able to bend air. I'm sure the next avatar will have the power to bend all FOUR elements, not just three. All because the people are wiped out doesn't mean the element doesn't exist.

yeah. but they probably wouldn't be as good as the previous avatars with airbending since the previous avatars had masters to teach them. but that's not what i'm saying though. in the cylce, when the avatar is suppose to be a firebender then an avatar from the fire nation will possess the powers. then when that person dies the cycle goes to the air nomads since the next avatar has to be born of air decent. but how is that then possible with aang being the last of his kind?
