My speculation is that this season Zuko will die trying to capture Aang. Why do I speculate this? Well, look at the signs. Zuko was all out evil-emo-angsty boy, out to hunt down the Avatar so he can reclaim his honor. After the incident at the North Pole, He and Iroh left that life and began anew as simple refugees. While Zuko's character development flourished, I'm sure that most of you (including myself) hopped on the Zuko fangirl-bandwagon after "Zuko Alone." I was bitterly disappointed at the end of the episode, but impressed at Zuko nontheless. However, as we neared the end of Season 2, I could tell that the banished Prince, reduced to working at a tea shop, wouldn't hold out for long. And he didn't. I was very sad that Zuko would revert to his old ways to get his honor again, but was slightly more optimistic after his sickness. Then comes the hard part: The Crossroads of Destiny. He was thrust into deciding good or evil, to live a life no longer attached to the Fire Nation, no longer controlled by his father or his obsession with honor. I thought this is the path he would choose. But no, he had to join Azula. This is when I noticed that his up till now carefully woven character development was about to go out the window. I was furious at him for turning back to the Dark Side. He's just like Anakin now, and nothing awaits a character who squanders their whole clean slate life because of hunger for power, or honor for that matter. I am infuriated at Zuko now, and I do expect that his demise awaits him in Season 3. I have carefully considered all the possibilities, but what seems most likely to me is that his end will come when we least expect it and least want it to happen. Though at first I was hoping it wouldn't come to this, now it seems inevitable. Discuss. Please don't flame, it's not cool D: |
But why would you predict such horrible things?!?!??!

Um... they killed Jet, let Ozai burn Zuko alive, ran lightning (!!!) through Uncle Iroh's heart, had Toph rebel and leave her family, showed Aang's bloody scar on his back, and have dealt with dark topics such as despair, war, kidnapping, brainwashing, betrayal, and death. |

I've predicted that Zuko will join Aang's side just in time to fight his father but die in the battle. It'd make for a great close to the series. |

I'd hate what happened but I'd love the episode.
Oh, and nobody's said that Zuko is like Anakin. He is like Anakin in a way, but the same story doesn't have to apply the entire way.

I hope he doesn't die. I like villains a lot, and he's quite the complicated and interesting type. Instead I hope he never becomes fire lord and just grows old and bitter and yells at the avatar's kids to get the hell off his lawn. |

Zuko is not the main vilain anymore, like Katara said in CoD, She have imaginaed the face of the enemy, but now Azula is the real vilain even more of OZai himself ! Its the main difference between the first season and the second, He changed, even if he choose the side of Azula, but even then, Zuko is protecting aang by saying that he was surely dead. Again, Zuko is a lot better, but He will be restored at the fire temple. Maiko will fall, certainly look at the scene on the ship ! And of course, Aang will understand his true destiny, by having multiple visions (ee, well, thats the reason, so no girls for him) |
