    Here we can all voice our opinion and discuss what makes the ow so perfect Azula go mental.

    This thread is just here to discuss Azula's madness if it is not allowed then please delete and forgive me.

    PS: No 300 references please even though the topic title is asking for it.
    PS2: Yes this topic will contain spoilers since we will discuss everything that we think might lead to her going nuts.

    Yes true I posted that as countermeasure to not make this topic go the wrong way.

    What I think is that Azula starts doubting her abilities. She is used to being right and everything working in her favor, but now ty lee and mai have betrayed her without her expecting it.... The woman who knew the drill was attacked, who personally overthrew the earth king and who crushed the invasion was wrong about those close to her.....
    Just think what that does to someone who never tasted defeat who can't bring herself to lose, it must be earth shattering for her. And every time something like this is happening she is losing it more and more she just can't get her head around it.

    Okay now that I've got that out of my system... It's pretty obvious that the fact that her only friends have left her will be a major factor in her downfall.

    Maybe she'll go out the same way Hitler did. (except with majik kung fu instead of a gun)

    Hitler was already a nutjob he thought he was invincible... Azula just thinks she is unbeatable.
    Maybe she loses her abillity to firebend?!?

    Seeing that she can actually show something other than calmness or silent pleasure on her face completely destroyes the image of her being pure evil. And she's crying when she is throwing her hairbrush at the mirage-reflection of Ursa. I don't thinks it's remorce, I think it's just frustration. In fact, the pictures that show her anti-calmness all look like that she is frustrated. It could be that what most people think, that she is frustrated because she became a Fire Lord with no power and a war to take care of. But now the constant family instabilities and her insane state of mind could mix with that frustration and create an inbalance in her persona, which would cause even more frustration. She might find that she won't be able to produce lightning anymore...

    You see what I'm saying? I'm not really good with words so it's kinda hard for me to expain completely. There is alot more I would say if I knew how to say it...

    I can't believe I never thought of it, but what will happen to Azula when the war is over, assuming Aang wins of course.

    I can't see her dying ... prison? Or exile? But she's too dangerous to be alive ...

    Only way I can see Azula being left alive is if she under the direct influence of those in her family. Anything other than that... Yeah, Azula won't be taking orders from anyone else. :X

    I think what you are trying to say is that Azula's insanity is going to be like a snowball effect, where one small loss causes her to become frustrated, which leads to her messing up again and experiencing a slightly bigger loss making her even more frustrated and so on. Her frustration eventually reaches a point where she becomes mentally unstable. Am I close?
