?? Hello All! I came up with an idea yesterday while watching Avatar. I want to create an Avatar Encyclopedia! This encyclopedia will be written by the people of the TV.com Avatar Forum. Of coarse, I can't do this by myself! So, anyone who is interested can come and help. I have broken down the different catogories that will be covered:

1. Characters

2. Creatures

3. Spirits

4. Episode Summaries

5. Weapons/Tools/Items

6. Relationships (Will not be started until after the series is completed)

7. Martial Arts References for Each Bending Descipline

8. Games (including Fake "Redemption Game)

9. Location Descriptions

10. Legend of the Avatar

11. The War (When it happened, Who started it, Why it was done, The Outcome?)

12. Descrption of each Nation

13. Description of each Bending Descipline

14. Writing in Avatar (This might be one of the hardest)

15. Staff,?? Voice Actors/Actresses, etc.

???? The process of making this encyclopedia could take many months or years. Obviously, alot of these catogories will be added onto as the series moves into Book 3. But, for now, we should get started. This is how it will work. We will start off by posting descriptions and stuff that start with the letter "A".?? Throughout Book 3, we will start adding more things. Once Book 3 is completed, and we believe we have posted EVERYTHING that we can possibly can, I will take different volunteers to type up different letters for the encyclopedia, but, you do not need to worry about that for now. Remember, do not just "copy and paste" off other websites. So, we will start off with the letter "A". Good Luck!

Appa - The last of a species of flying bison. Animal guide of Avatar Aang. Also referred to as an air buffalo.

Armadillo Lion- A large animal that has a body and head of a lion. It has white fur on its feet on on some of its face. The upper parts of its legs are covered with brown hair. Its back has an armadillo-like piece which also covers some of its head. Its tail is also armadillo-like, and is hairless. The armadillo lion can curl up into an armored ball, providing an excellent defense against enemies.

"Appa's Lost Days" (Book 2: Chapter 16)- In this episode, we go back in time to when Appa was stolen by the Sandbenders. Now we see what happened to him, where he has been, and where he is now!

"The Avatar State" (Book 2: Chapter 1)- Aang, Katara, and Sokka meet with an Earth Kingdom general who has a plan for defeating the Fire Nation. This plan is to use Aang's deadly "Avatar State". Aang explains to the general that he can't control the Avatar State, but the general insists on finding a way to get Aang into the "Avatar State". After a series of hilarious attempts to get Aang into the Avatar State, the Earth Kingdom general orders his men to attack the Aang!

Aang: A male 12-year old airbender who has taken up the position as the current Avatar, replacing Avatar Roku. He must master all four elements in order the defeat the Fire Lord before summer's end and safe the world. Originally residing in the Southern Air Temple with the Air Nomads, he ran away with his animal guardian, a male flying bison named Appa (see Appa or Flying Flying Bison, or Animal Guardians, or Southern Air Temple). A storm made them crash and freeze in an ice berg for a hundred years. They were later found by teenagers from the Southern Water Tribe. They were fourteen-year old Katara (see Katara or Katang for more info), and fifteen year-old Sokka (See Sokka, warrior, or boomerang). After a mishap with Prince Zuko (see Fire Nation history or Zuko), who is wants to capture Avatar Aang, they three teamed up and headed to the North Pole. Along the way they met Momo, a flying lemur, who became Aang's pet. Currently, he has mastered airbending, waterbending and earthbending and his team now includes Appa, Katara, Sokka, his earthbending teacher, Toph, and Momo.

Description: He is a small boy with pale skin and grey eyes. He has blue arrows covering his entire body as is common in airbender culture. He is also bald.

Relationships: He has a crush on Katara and he is best friends with Sokka, Toph, Momo, and Appa. He has no living family. Appa is his animal guardian. Zuko and Azula are his enemies as well as the Fire Lord.

Misc: He is skilled with his staff and has a care-free, peaceful personality. He is also good with animals.

Fire Lord Azulon- Azulon was a master firebender. He was also the son of Fire Lord Sozin, and the father or Iroh and Ozai. He was married to a women named Ila. Ila passed away sometime during??Azulon's time as Fire Lord. He was Fire Lord for twenty-three years before he died. Some of his landmarks include the Battle of Garsai, which he led fearlessly, the conquering of the Yuseng Provinces, and Iroh's 600-day siege or Ba-Sing-Se. Mysteriously, Ozai's wife, Ursa left her family the same night that Azulon was found dead. Ozai was then named Fire Lord.

Personality: He was a fealess leader, and an unforgiving, ruthless person. Based on his appearences, it seems that he preferred his first-born son, Iroh, over his other son, Ozai. Azulon did not tolerate faliure. Ozai named his daughter Azula after him.

Appearence: Azulon has long gray hair, along with a long beard and mustache. His sideburns are very long, and he has skinny eyebrows. He wears a red and black Fire Nation robe, with yellow lines.
