Nickelodeon (ended 2008)
Avatar- The avatar is a being that is the bridge from the human world to the spirit world. He or she is able to master all four elements in order the protect the world. There is only one Avatar per generation. When the Avatar dies, tbey get recarnated into the next nation and the recarntion becomes the next Avatar. The Avatar is choosen by having a person choose which four toys he or she wants over thousands of others. If they choose the four that the other Avatars have choosen, then that person is the new Avatar.
Toys: The four toys that the Avatar picks represent the four nations. A turtle(water), a string-powered propeller(air), a Hog-Monkey(earth, and a drum(fire).
Cycle: The recarnation of the Avatar cycle goes in the order of Air, Water, Earth, then Fire. The Avatar must master the elements in this order and when they die, they are recarnated into the next element. For example; Avatar Roku was from the Fire Nation, but when he died, he was recarnated as Aang in the air Nomads.
Avatar State: When under attack, the Avatar can go into a state called the Avatar State. This is when all of the recarnates come together and use all their elements into a vast amount of power,??but with little or no control of it.??In this state, the Avatar is at his or her most powerful, but is also at his or her most vulnerable, for if the Avatar is killed in the Avatar State the cycle is broken and the Avatar will not be able to be recarnated....therefore, the Avatar would be no more.
Chakras: Normally, an Avatar goes into the Avatar State when in danger, but if all seven chakras are open in an Avatar then the Avatar would be able to go into the Avatar State at will and control it. To do this, one must open all seven chakras in the correct order without stopping.
Order: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Sound, Light, and Thought.
Famous Avatars: Kyoshi, Roku, Aang Misc: The current Avatar is an airbender named Aang.
