agreed. i really dont see what the big deal is. i dont think bryke could've really done an episode per fight scene, it would've pushed it a bit too far. and plus there are always going to be complaints because everyone wants something different. the OP should deal with it, you cant have a perfect episode all the time

the above poster could read my topic title, and move on since he knows whats going on in here anyway. =/

I was not saying epr say that the fights should have been one episode long. Just divided. For example, one episode for Zuko vs Azula and during that fight we could have gotten more info on what happened the night Ursa left. Or the OWL vs Ba sing Se could have explained where Jeong Jeong went or showed flashbacks of Pakku helping the Southern Tribe get back together again.

That would've been a bit off. You see, these things are happening at the same time. It would be unrealistic and the fights would seem to drag.

I am quoting two posts because they bring up some great information that I would like to comment on. Everyone that knows me in this forum, can vouch that I'm pretty good at the sense of this show.

    Anyways, here we go:

i liked the way it end but there's a few questions that i wanted to know

    1. how did iroh go to the spirit world?

    2. wheres Ursa

    3. Who's going to teach the next avatar Airbending

    4. did aang and katara get married/ did they have airbending kids?

i dont really care about azula cause i know that katara and zuko didn't kill her i know shes probably in prison

    tvlover,

You have some great questions here.

    1. That I think is going to be covered in whatever spinoff they put out. I am betting that the spinoff is going to show more history than future as so many are predicting. There are tons of things that need to be answered. Like what happened to the airbenders from the attack. Based on a previous magazine they put out, the writers indicated that we would find out this season that Aang isn't the last airbender. Here we are and that did not come to pass. Iroh's trip to the spirit world is a major question that many have had since the mention of it in the Siege of the North episodes. Hopefully they will cover it.

    2. We all have that same question and have thrown around a ton of theories.

    3. Well this one is a bit tricky. At this point from what we know, it all falls on Katara and Aang to repopulate the airbenders. However, as previously stated above, there is a possibility that the air nomads are out there in hiding.

    4. We don't know this yet since they are teens still.

The Finale was good but there were plenty of things about season 3 I didn't like either.

    1. They should have shown where Zuko's mom was

I think they're planning a one hour spinoff special of some sort or maybe some new tie in. Either way, it's only important to the character arc of Zuko. As a whole, Zuko's arc was about 90% completed. I can live with that.

    2. They should have shown what happened to Azula

Why? It's obvious she's in jail too. Really need to see a quick shot of her sitting in a prison cell with foam at the mouth?

    3. Why was the royal artifact in episode 306 never worn?

Iroh had it pretty much the whole time, and Zuko had basically renounced his FN name when he switched sides. It's worn by the crown prince of the Fire Nation. Zuko was a traitor. Wouldn't be honorable to wear it. And we all know about Zuko's infallable honor.

    4. Iroh's return wasn't as great as it should have been and he didn't look buff anymore

Of course he didn't, he never took his clothes off, and why would he? And his return wasn't for the awesome factor, it was closure with Zuko. He buffed up so he could break himself out of prison and retake Ba Sing Se.

    5. They rushed the second half of the season while putting fillers in the first half such as the Painted Lady.

Fillers are a part of the show. Every episode can't be about moving the plot forward. No continual adventure show in history is ever like that. About rushing, that's an opinion thing. Don't care one way or the other about that.

    6. Bloodbending was a waste as it was only barely used again in the Southern Raiders

You're right, a technique that can only be used once a month needs to get used in more than two episodes in a season that takes place in about two months. Not to mention that Katara only used that technique out of angry, bloodlust, and for revenge. She never wanted that power to begin with.

    7. Not much was known about Combustion Man such as why did he keep attacking when Zuko who hired him told him to stop.

That much is obvious. It became personal. Aang and co. kept on eluding and embarrasing him. He's supposed to be and elite assassin, his pride and reputation were bruised. So, he wanted Aang dead for himself, not some reward. As for more about him, outside of the Nick.com Avatar site, where are you gonna get the info from? Zuko just feeling chatty? CM himself sure isn't about to share his lifestory with anyone.

    1. I agree with Eman here on this one. He has always been sensible when it comes to this show.

    2. Again, Eman hit the nail on the head with this one.

    3. This one I wanted to address the most. There is a bit of explanation in need of the artifact. The last time it was seen prior to Iroh, was when it was being burned by the volcano on Roku's island. So how did is survive the volcano and get into Iroh's hands? Good question right? I am betting that Iroh's spirit world travels are linked to this somehow.

    4. Eman is right again. Iroh taking Ba Sing Se and reuniting with Zuko for his infinite wisdom are the only reasons why we saw him again. It would have been nice if he told his spirit world story then, but I can live without it if it promises a new season.

    5. Well, the fillers that you mention were actually pertinent in some way shape or form. Painted Lady as an example, they took out a FN factory that made metal. If it was still there, then the FN might have been able to make more war balloons. Also the point of that episode was to the GAang helping more towns people. Keep in mind that if they just suddenly defeated Ozai, everyone in the nation would not know what to do. Their lives needed to be opened to the kindness of the world so they would realize the better life option.

    6. I can agree that the technique could have been exploited more. In Southern Raiders they showed Katara use it and Zuko shot a look of shock. That leaves an important question. What is the look going to mean in future episodes? There was a look from Mai when she passed by Azula the one time. That signified Mai's distrust in Azula as we saw when she betrayed her in the prison.

    7. Again, Eman hit the nail on the head with this one.

Personally, I thought the season was progressive. Definitely not in the direction I thought it would take, but it was still good enough for me. I personally would have liked to see a revolt from the FN populace that were being affected by the war. Example, the village on the lake. The kids from the school should have come back and shown more in the show. Other than that, I think it was a great end of the season and can't complain about the action. The final fight didn't have any stupid monologuing like in DBZ.

Certainly spike- I promised to leave so i cannot become a troll. For instance I'm one of those who don't love the finale. But Iroh's buffness certainly is nopt one of the reasons. I actually just have one reason (I mean I dislike the Ty Lee closure plothole but even that I can take it) I was hoping u or someone with whom I interacted a lil more could gave me their opinion (some of them were banished I know) Do u really liked how the Zuko/Azula battle ended?

I didn't like the way it ended. Zuko lost both the battles he fought in the finale---Against Aang AND Azula. Yeah, he sacrificed himself for Katara, and that's important, but don't you think it would've been more fulfilling if he actually beat Azula, she was laying on the ground, defeated, he walked away, she gets back up and tries to shoot lightning at Katara but he notices just in time to jump in the way? At least this way he'd have a partial victory. I feel bad for the guy
