Because it's just so...wrong. It's completely controlling another person, against their own free will. In other words, bloodbending is the worst form of bending there is.

What did you want her to do? Start controlling Azula and make her knock herself out?

No, that would be pretty awful.

I don't have anything specific in mind, it's just that the ending of "The Puppetmaster" made it seem like a really important thing that Katara had learned to bloodbend, and "The Southern Raiders" showed that she'd use it despite herself if she were angry enough, and then...nothing.

Eh, that one time was good enough. I liked the look on Zuko's face especially when he saw her doing it. XD

One of the best moments of the show. Lmao.

Yeah, but I liked how in some of the final episodes her character began to devolve. That was pretty clever. It would have been really good writing if they had kept her kinda evil and anti-vigilant like.

I think they ran out of places for his character to go. They already had a bunch of bad people turn good. Another one would have been over-kill.

This feels more like the mid-pointof a character arc re: bloodbending.

    Responding to myself?

The only problem with the bloodbending thing is that it's rather dark; it's a story of corruption. This would actually be pretty interesting to inflict on Katara, who started life as a goody two-shoes, but could they get away with it on a kids' show?

Meh, Jet wasn't all that important. And I guess since Zuko didn't get to do the tragic hero thing, he had to take the fall. XP

you're probably right, and I don't think Katara should have to die, she should just have explained to Aang that at that time, it was not appropriate to make out, yet.

She already has some rage issues, I dunno. Bloodbending is too creepy to have it be continually brought up. Especially on a kids' show.

Omg, my life would be so complete if Katara had stayed in her little devolved state, and became this dark character. It would have been such good writing. On a kids show though, psh the writers would get slaughtered i'm sure.

Yes, yes they could. Kids don't understand what's happening most of the time in this show. It's not hard to get away with something deep and meaningful. I'm sure, for instance, that they thought Azula was screaming solely because she wasn't going to be the Fire Lord. Or maybe just because she lost. It's very easy for things to pass them by. I'm sure they could've slipped blood bending in more.
