I completely agree. |
Well then it would turn out to be like the Dragonball series. It had a long run and ended well.

So here's my review.
Part 1 The Phoenix King: The firebending training, and I guess seeing Azula starting to go psycho into the beginning. Also obviously the funny parts in this episode. I also liked the Zuko-Toph thing. She was telling him her life story and he didn't really want to hear it then. The Lion-turtle is kind of random though. I mean what is it? Aang said it's an animal, but why could it talk later on? I think it's some kind of spirit. In this part of the finale it made me think of a book called The Floating Island. Well at least Aang didn't purposely run away or anything. Oh and bringing June back into the show too.
Part2:The Old Masters: June again. Her shirshus name is Nyla . I would have preferred if Aang had gone to the spirit world, but oh well I did like the past avatar thing. The OWL. Just awesome to see all the old masters again. Weird how the audio disappeared for a few seconds as Bumi was talking about how he reconquered Omashu. I'm also surprised that Gran Gran got together with Pakku. I mean I thought she didn't love him. The scene with Zuko and Iroh was great. Apparently Zuko can in fact cry from his scarred eye. Before in the few other times he cried it was just from his normal eye.
Part3 Into the Inferno: All the great action scenes. Like when Toph became Iron Man. :lol How did she breathe when she was in that thing though? It looked like she didn't give herself any air holes. Azula going crazy was just kind of sad. She couldn't take that fact that she was wrong about Mai and Ty Lee and it drove her paranoid and insane. The scene when Azula was hallucinating Ursa being there as well was just sad. That whole thing with the crew of the blimp was probably the best joke in the whole finale. The OWL fight was just awseome. Wow Jeng Jeng can fly. Crazy. The Ozai-Aang battle was also awesome. :lol Yeah what were you expecting Aang? For Ozai to step down? If he did this whole story would be nothing. Oh and the whole blimp fight was awesome too. Also I liked the Azula-Zuko fight almost better than The Ozai-Aang battle in the last part. I really liked the music to the fight too. It was different and was kind of sad sounding. Kind of like how sister and brother fighting like this I guess. Aang had the chance to kill Ozai with the lightning and he didn't take it. I really didn't care if Ozai lived or not, but I guess it's better that Aang didn't have to become a killer. And I guess it was just like Azula to take a cheap shot like that. Yeah wow Zuko took it right in the chest and in midair where the lightning couldn't get to the ground.
Part 4 Avatar Aang: Just more epic fights. The blimp fight just awesome. Too bad Sokka's trademark boomerang is gone and his sword. The boomerang always comes back though. Wow when Ozai unblocked Aang's charka when he got hit where his scar was and came out into the Avatar state you knew Ozai was about to be pwned. The Avatar state looked a bit different too. Maybe it was the glow that was different. In any case Aang looked awesome and it could not be any more epic when he bended all 4 elements at once. :lol Aang was like an atom with all the elements revolving around him like electrons. The Azula-Katara fight also easily the second best fight in the finale( and yes I am counting the Azula- Zuko-Katara fight as one fight) It was just so awesome when Katara froze them both and then chained Azula. I thought Azula might continue to be crazy and kill herself by trying lightning bend herself free and electrocute herself. I actually feel sorry for her. The Aang ripping out Ozai's firebending was also one of the best scenes. I really didn't think Aang could do that. Also the lion-turtle is hard to understand. I had to rewind it a few times to understand what he said. So really nice ending. The Maiko scene was really cute. :lol Ty Lee became a Kyoshi warrior. I wish Mai and Ty Lee had some fight scenes, but oh well. :lol Turns out the stooges and the rest of the not gaang(Hakota, and Chit Sang) did absolutely nothing. Nice little Aang-Zuko scene although I think Zuko should have worn the relic that Sozin gave to Roku that Iroh gave to Zuko. Nice speech by Zuko. I wish we knew what happened to Ursa. I assume Azula got locked up in a asylum with a fireproof straightjacket. The scene at Iroh's teashop of everyone hanging out was really nice. Only Ty Lee seemed to missing. Whatever. And Kataang won. Predictable though really. I guess Katara's confusion from the EIP is over then. The winning ships are Maiko, Sukka, and Kataang. No surprises there really, but still nice. It was really sad when The End popped up. A great end to a great series. I have the feeling that that's it for the gaangs journey. If there is a spin-off I think it would be in another time without Aang.
Okay my rants over(mostly). The finale cannot be summed up in any one word really. It was beyond epic. It's really sad that there are no more episodes, but I'm really glad how it all turned out. Nickelodeon may have treated this show like crap, but at least they allowed Mike and Bryan to make this show which will be the most epic thing to ever air on Nickelodeon. They at least allowed it an ending and didn't cut it before the story was done like so many other canceled shows. They at least weren't dumb enough to let the finale leak. It deserved so much more than the treatment it got. At least my anger at Nick can now go away. There is nothing left on that station that I care about. Avatar: The Last Airbender is such a unique story with such a great story and themes and characters that were more human then any I've ever really seen it may stand as the greatest animated series of all time.

i am telling you Guru Patik learned from the lionturtles. actually this supports the idea i had back in the times of season 2. Spirit Bending exists! The fifth element: Spirit. What do you think? |

Spirit bending now theres a thought There are many elements its just that those 4 are the Roots of them. There are the subelements and subcategories. I'm waiting for someone to bend wood and trees Its all very complex so its actually completely open to anything. Who knows what else you can bend |

Though I guess one about a new avatar would be okay, but they should at least reference to this series characters. Or better yet, they should make a show about the first Avatar ever and call it well, "The First Avatar". But still, any spin-off series should still at least refer to the characters of this one, because I really don't know if I can get used to a new show without the cl@ssic characters, kind of like Digimon really, the new characters they introduce in later Digimon series weren't as good as the original. |
Same here
