Nickelodeon (ended 2008)
Holy frick it really is 2 am! And i've been on this forum since six. I think i'm going to head out
Night you guys, =P
Remember Embrace your inner dork!
some people find it attractive really xD
Ok.... i think the lion turtle said something about a way for Aang to find another way to handle the outcome of his fight with Ozai(?). I think he said something like,"Back before the time of the Avatar, we bended our energy." Which makes sense seeing how previously Aang learned that "everthing is connected". That would also lead me to believe that is how the lionturtle found Aang to begin with and knew where to take him.
Overall, I enjoyed everything about this show. I love how a thirty minute cartoon (maybe 20 after commercials), can have so much information and lets you imagine the outcome. But then, you get to see it! Simply AMAZING!!!
After thought: The fight between Zuko and Azula was done perfectly imo. I mean, the violin music in the background with no firebending noise or fight move sounds was beautiful. However, I knew Katara would eventually be the one to take down Azula.

I agree. I wanted Katara to just mop up on Azula, but she was taken off guard, trying to help Zuko and Azula had the comet. Hehe, Azula charging up her lightning bolt while dancing on the roof and then shooting in a very laid back manner proves she was a bit overpowered at the time. Katara had to outwit her. The reason i felt Katara would take down Azula was the whole balancing of the elements. The whole earth/air and water/fire deal. |

Azula was out of her mind. not really all there
I'm really surprised at how many people didn't like Katara beating Azula.
Zuko may not have beaten her, but still proved himself the better man, er, person, by risking his life to save Katara's.
In a finale which had nearly all the main characters beat their opponents with sheer overwhelming force, Katara was the only person pitted against a far more powerful opponent. In many ways, it actually made her victory all that more impressive; winning with brain over brawn.
and look at it this way; what would have sucked more, Katara getting her shot at Azula, or Katara quite literally pushed to one side, watching from the sidelines and doing nothing while Zuko wins the day by himself?
I thought it was an amazing finale.
I watched it on YouTube (darn living in England) just now and I'm pretty sure I shouted a lot of things out. I know that when Zuko intercepted the lightning blast for Katara, I was sitting there with my mouth open I also shouted 'swearword!!' a lot, seeing as it wasn't really the best thing to actually swear with my mum in the next room XD
Everything ended quite predictably (apart from the Ty Lee/Kyoshi Warriors thing...which I loved ) but I don't really have a problem with that. I'm a little surprised that no one died, but other than that the ending wasn't that much of a shock. I still don't like Maiko (but I know that if they'd done a couple of background episodes in the sereies instead of just shoving it in the magazine and then saying 'yeah, they're together now!' then I'd feel differently). Kataang had a sweet moment at the end, and I really liked what Katara was wearing
All in all, I'm not disappointed. I'm about every other emotion under the sun, but not disappointed

So! Two things. 1) Kinda annoyed that there was no Epilogue/as a result no acknowledgement of the fact that the cycle's broken... in regard to the four tribes since there won't be another air bender.... At least as far as the show's concerned. (I've got my own thoughts on this... such as air bender's existing but just not knowing it...Which seems possible since they were monks they theoretically didn't have children of their own, and yadda yadda yadda....) ....... It seems to me they almost needed one more full ep to finish up everything... sigh. |

Here is another thought: (may have been said before) in the last part(part 3) of ep 21: Avatar Aang at 03:34 you can see in front of the palace 4 columns of people. Right:red- fire middle right: blue- water middle left: green- earth Left: ?????? Could it be the missing airbenders or something. Just a theory. |

There were only two major character stories resolved. Zuko (to the greater extent) and Aang (which was basically Katara kissing him and him winning... Which where, by the way, was the spirit world in all this? He's supposed to be a bridge! Let him support!!) Okay so that was really secretly like 7 things, but alas... I just felt the need to vent somewhere. And there ya go. Wait, no. One final thing. For an Epilogue I would have loved a montage of still shots... or to have a final narration by one of the couple's grand kids to a dying from old age Aang or Toph (who's story.. yeah not finished AT ALL). Somehow that would have felt more complete to me. It seems to me they almost needed one more full ep to finish up everything... sigh. |
i totally agree! another 30 minutes of future stuff wudve been great. *sigh* if only they ahd that, then it wudve been peerfect. ALSO IMPORTANT! this may have been mentioned, but in one of the commericals, they showed iroh and then chilling at the pool...............where was this in the movie??????!!!!! i do not recall this AT ALL
No!
That's it!
I figured it out now!
Aang with his newly acquired skill to spirit bend switched off Ozai's ability to Firebend. Probably Guru Patik can also do this. All the chakra talk hints something. Maybe Aang can turn some nonbenders into Airbenders the same way he turned Ozai into a nonbender. After what the Guru said( the thing that the boundary between the elements is a illusion.) he could probably turn some nonbenders into benders.Or some waterbenders into airbenders(waterbenders are most likely to share the philosophies of airbenders)
Another theory.
P.S. I would really like to see an epilogue!!

Nice theory, do you reckon Sokka may be given waterebnding or with this power Aang may be able to make benders control all elements.
