Thanks to that photo of Lu Ten seen in "Tales of Ba Sing Se", it can be safe to say that the final face seen of Koh is not that of Lu Ten. I'd show pictures for comparison but there is no screenshot of the photo I can show at the moment. Anyway, the face is completely differerent than the picture. So that's a theory down the drain. So what now?

Now we feel sad about the death of Mako and move on from the whole "Koh took Lu Ten's face and Iroh's going to die in the finale" theories.

How does Koh not stealing Lu Tens face disprove the theory that Iroh will die.

The theory that Koh's final seen face was that of Lu Ten's has nothing to do with Iroh's possibilty of death.

I didn't even believe in the theory of Koh having Lu Ten's face, considering he was supposed to have died when fighting in the 600 day war breaking through the wall of Ba Sing Sei.

Some people theorized Iroh went to the Spirit World for help, and that his son went along even though he was not supposed to.

then how did he die in the war? i'm pretty sure he wouldn't go out in battle without a face

He was killed the usual way maybe he was captured and killed in Ba Sing Se or he was crushed by rocks.

This is a really stupid answer... but you can't breathe without a mouth or nose. Of course, the writers probably wouldn't use that excuse...

orrrrrr, it could be just some unfortunate soul's face that will never be mentioned again....and if it was the waterbending avatar before aang, that would have been about 500 years ago. Koh said he was attacked by an avatar 600 to 700 years ago.

He said "8-or-9-hundred years ago." I just watched it twice in one day a week ago. I know this.

true but the avatar before the waterbending one would be an airbender or an firebender he doesn't look like an air or fire bender but more like a earthbender or waterbender....

if it was an airbender it would have an arrow on its head. and it doesn't even look like the face Koh had:
and it's an earthbender, but the avatar before roku was kyoshi

I know but if we stick to the 800/900years mentioned 2 posts above then it has to be an air or firebender that's what i'm saying...

If there is any of similarity at all between the ages, those could have been different time periods. I was gonna do the comparison, but I forgot.

but that isn't Koh's final face. this is: and Lu Ten died in the war. They sort of do look similar, but they're still different??

    Oh and people...
iroh doesn't die in the season finale..
    my reasonings for this are:

    1. Mako finished voicing Iroh for the rest of the season.

    2. They already hired a new person to voice Iroh and he has already had a short snippet, (In Tales of Ba Sing Se when the boys are playing soccer)

    3. Why would they hire a new voice actor for Iroh is Mako finished the rest of the season, and he would be killed off? These are my reasonings that he lives through to season 3
