BUT! There are still plenty of ideas out there for Nick to make another epic, hit show. The only thing for them to do is find it. By using the same animation as Avatar & looking up some for old chinese (or japanese) folktales Nick could make a show of:

    • Journey to the West (yes it has been done before if U remember Monkey Magic, but Nick could make their own version)
    • Ten Brothers
    • The Ghost Fox by Laurence Yep (a story from my childhood that would make a good miniseries)

And this just came to me. If some of ya'll remember this old playstation game, then you'll know Tai fu would make a great cartoon series.

Interesting concept, but I think they should leave Avatar alone. Nothing else can compare. *mourns Avatar coming to an end*

It's pretty obvious from Nick's treatment of Avatar that they don't want to do this kind of show again. They obviously want to play it safe and stick to anthropomorphic sponges, because they know they'll sell. Why take the risk with an epic fantasy action/adventure classic when you can always take the safe route and use a male cow with udders?

Avatar was a mistake for Nick, it's just not the kind of show they air.

This isn't the kind of thing I like to be right about. Believe me I wish I wasn't. I wish Nick wouldn't be afraid to do this kind of show again. I want this kind of show. An epic fantasy that isn't afraid to talk about themes of war and death, but can still be enjoyed by kids of all ages. I want more of it.

Meh, maybe I'll just make my own.

Actually, that's not such a bad idea...

Ha, if you do, I'll totally watch it. I'll even help if you want

Yeah, I think because Nick is aimed at a younger audience they don't want these sort of shows that become epic, deep plotlines and great character development - y'know, stuff that older people would appreciate more. I don't think they really anticipated what Avatar would become when they first started airing it - just think how light and fluffy the first season is.

Although, come to think about it, I thought they created Nick Jr for a reason... apparently not...

You pretty much hit the nail on the head there. Look at the first few episodes, Nick had no idea what they were in for.

I think Nick Jr. is for 3 year olds, and the main Nick channel is for 8 year olds, even though I sill find Drake and Josh and iCarly very entertaining despite being 7 years older than that.

Also, if you know a way I can make my own TV show, I'm all ears, because I have some brilliant ideas.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Nick has come up with some beauties, but none quite as brilliant as Avatar.

Ha, I made some great animations last year in Tech class, except I don't have photoshop any more so I'm afraid I can't help

Maybe you could make an online comic series or something?

iCarly isn't as good as D+J, but it's definitely good.

    Also, online comic? Elaborate.

    Amen to that, brother!

Dude, you've seen iCarly? I really really wanted to watch that (I'm a huge fan of Miranda Cosgrove) but the episodes are during my piano lesson times in Australia *glares at TV*

Elaborate.

Like, make a series of ongoing comics and upload them onto a website. Y'know, put up new ones regularly. Could be interesting
Elaborate further, your idea interests me. My own website?

As much as I'd love to continue this ridiculously long quote, pyramid, I think it'd be better if I PMd you ^^
Agreed. It's off-topic, and the mods are everywhere.

Every good show has to come to an end at some point and it is sadly time for Avatar to end

I'm creating shows, too. one is about a futuristic time in a far-off galaxy fighting through a war against an evil nation(to tell you the truth, I DREAMT about this, and since clearly no one thought of the EXACT idea, I decided to bring it to life). They weren't really like the Fire Nation, though, and it's sci-fi action rather than spiritual powers or magic. I kinda think of it as a combination of the elements from Avatar and Ratchet & Clank franchises. It's an epic show, too. I'll share my stories of it once they're ready.

NOTE: No copying my idea! Though you CAN help me with it if you want!
