White fire is possible... some dwarf stars can burn bluish-white because they become small, dense and really hot.

Stars aren't made of fire, though. It's a contained Nuclear Reaction. I'm sure that's different.

You're right, they technecally are not made of fire. However, they are made of gases, that, when they combine, combust in a nuclear reaction. Stars are therefore, made up of various BURNING gases. Fire also needs some source of oxygen(which is a gas) in order to burn, so stars and fire are not that much different. Seeing as how some stars can burn hot enough to produce a blue color and Azula can produce blue flames, I don't see why a very good firebender can't make white fire. Granted, it would probably take tons of energy, so they would most likely do it in short, infrequent bursts.

The writers did when they made Ozai the main antagonist. It's the Universal Hero vs. Villain Law. Even the most illogical action-adventure epics follow this law. Basically it means the only person capable of defeating the main villain is the main hero, which is not Iroh in this case.

If the two ever got in a fight, Ozai would win. He might have a hard time fighting him and have to employ dirty tactics, but in the end, he'd be victorious.

PS What do you call the bright flames emitted from a nuclear explosion? Don't know? That's okay, it was rhetorical anyway. The answer is fire.

don't sunspots burn black? there was also that cool naruto episode where itachi used it. back on topic, white fire would look kinda stupid, if he could do that, wouldn't he make his throne room burn white fire instead of regular?

well yeah ozai will have some special unique power but that is probally is unique ability to bend lightning incredibly fast. Also, the lightning bolts he creates are extremely powerful so that will be hard to stop as well. So Ozai's lightning bending skills are good enough
Oh and another thing. I was just recently watching Avatar book 2 chapter 1 ( The avatar state) and in it when aang is taken off into the spirit world with avatar roku aang has a small vision of fire lord ozai around and BENDING regular orange and yellow flames. He LITERALLY did the breath of fire with ORANGE and YELLOW flames. So that pretty much proves that ozai is going to bebending some ordinary fire. I saw it. Right on the show
Ozai is going to be bending ordinary flames. Case closed

First of all, how do you know he's not keeping it as a secret weapon. And what about Sozins comet? It'll make him stronger. Much stronger.

Ozai attacked Zuko with lightning so he probably only uses lightning the entire time, and he generated it pretty quickly as well. And like someone already said, white fire would look strange in the show. Now if we're going for an all powerful theme here, Ozai could use indigo fire.

When the gases (or is it Gases?) in stars combine they fuse it is a Nuclear fusion reaction. Stars are made primarilly of hydrogen which fues together to creat helium. For something to burn they need oxygen hydrogen and helium are elements so the oxygen can't be from that and spaceis a near complete vacuum (not sure if that is spelt right) so the oxygen can't be from space either so np burning.

Nuclear fusion and fire are completely different.
