Petition for either the unlocking of the fanclubs, or starting over

Do you think the Fan Club Threads should be unlocked, or new ones allowed?

After two full scale riots, and A LOT of cheek, it would not be surprising if the mods haven't by now developed a deep-seated mistrust of this forum, and the people who use it. I've read the blogs of some of the mods, staff members, and their friends, and have found that many of them have developed a very low opinion of us, and they are openly admitting it. With this forum's past record, the moment the mods saw something that had the slightest chance of spiralling out of control on this forum, they moved in and shut us down. That Danmod guy did say that they would be keeping a close eye on us.

We have gotten quite ridiculous. Any mention of the mods turns into a full on flaming. People are just stubborn and don't want to believe they did something wrong. Honestly, It think the mods have perfectly reasonable rules. Don't post large images because it clutters the boards, do,'t go off topic because it clutters the boards, and don't quote too many things at a time because it clutters the boards. Overall, they're really trying to help us. The no trolling rule is to keep the peace and any mention of personal attacking results in a TOS. In fact, TOS's are a very generous gesture. The mods warn us that we are doing something wrong so that we can fix our mistakes and learn from them. In fact, they really refrain from giving out suspensions. I am grateful for them and happy that they keep the peace. You all need to get over your personal grudges and accept that the mods are only doing their jobs.

Although they deleted the Troll Reformation Comittee because they thought it meant "all trolls come here and party!" instead of "trolls come here and we OWLs will change you into better posters"

But, technically, we were acknowledging the trolls, which was clearly stated in the rules not to do. I might not agree with the rule, but it was plainly there and what we did was against it. I don't blame the mods for locking it. They gave their reasons and they weren't ridiculous. Although I wish the thread was unlocked, I don't hold a grudge.

That's why this is all so sad: the mods don't trust us anymore, so they're not willing to let us try and do things like that. If we want the freedom of posting that we enjoyed under Pooldude back, we're going to have to earn it. Gives us something to do while we wait for the Live-Action movies

It won't be that hard. Most of the fans that don't have the level of maturity to handle that responsibility will have left because they're bored. The actual fans will stay and prove to the mods we can be trusted.

A lot has changed on here since I signed off earlier today. Anyways, I support doing a club in the blogs. I think the club should be more exclusive and allow only the most ardent fans of Azula. We would allow new members only if they prove their worth.

Our fanclubs were going so well, everybody had fun then the mods came and ruined everything. And how much discussion can you do in a blog anyway? Comments section? GAH!

I think they should let us have new clubs, cause some of the old ones were not the best. I'm signing this.

I understand why fanclubs might cause the mods some concern, but I'll sign. *signs*

If this board was crowded with topics, I might sympathize more with them (the mods), but let's face it, the forums traffic has declined considerably since the finale. I really don't see much harm in these fanclubs.

The mods didn't come and ruin everything. We went off topic and paid the consequences. Don't blame the mods for our wrong doing. In fact, they were very nice about the whole thing. They simply locked the boards and warned us.

I don't think that the Azula club went off topic at all. I wasn't apart of any of the other clubs so I can't speak for those, but I think the Azula club was just a place were people could come and discuss a particular character. It didn't go off topic and there was no spamming on the board. I don't think it's fair that it was locked. So i'll sign!

I made a Favorite Character thread where you can discuss all the characters you are a fan of in that one thread.
