Yup, the airbenders will all be dead, the next 3 avatars will never be full, and the 4th one after aang will never exist, the world will be in chaos by the time 500 years pass.

On the subject of airbenders dying out, those dude's at the Northern Air Temple could spontaniously become Airbenders.
Never know.
But Aang won't die. That'd be too sad for a nick show.
But if this was a regular anime, you'd bet your behind he'd die.

To the OP:

I feel this may be during the episode, The Southern Raiders. It might occur either before or after they go on their mission together, it would fit either way. It could be before; Katara and Zuko have a conversation about their mothers and Zuko mentions how his mom. Katara feels this connection with him and gives him a hug because she sees the compassionate side of Zuko. (I would consider this a Zutarian moment.)

It can also happen after they had their mission and learned what they needed. Katara sees that Zuko can be trusted and finally accpets him as an ally and gives him a hug. (This would be the Anti-Zutara moment.)

This is what I think anyways; just have to wait for the episode it seems.
