Well I think none of the Avatar episodes are fillers. Every one of them contribute to the show in some way or another. Look in between the lines it helps. I really think this episode will be the funniest ever! And I think it will be a nice light fluff episode right before the big battle just like Daydreams and Nightmares was.

I think it'll reveal Iroh as the playwrite. That's what he was doing in his spare time: writing witty satire.

Actually, it probably wont be completely filler. Just the first half because they need to get on the island for a reason before the episode can actually begin.

I think that this will be the episode with Jun in it because it's called "The Ember Island Players" and "Players" could mean gamblers, or the actors for that matter BUT I think it has to do with Jun.

Also, Ember Island is the place where Azula, Mai, Zuko, and Ty Lee discovered more about themselves, so maybe that's what part of the play was about. To show them what they seem like to others. Of course, the play was made to humiliate them but whatever. I think that the gaang will discover more about themselves there as well.

And about the Iroh visiting Lo and Li...I've always thought that Lo and Li were on the good side anyway, so I think that they are members of the White Lotus. Just a thought.

The Ember Island Players will be much more than filler.

Agreed. With everything in the Avatarverse that needs to be explained, there just isn't enough time and episodes to cram in a pure filler...

Don't get me wrong though, I laughed my guts out when I was watching the Ember Island preview.

Same here. Though, the fangirls screaming ruined it a little bit. And I couldn't hear some stuff. At least it was uploaded on YouTube so I could watch it again and try to listen for more stuff I missed before.

I don't think it's going to be a "filler". It's the last episode before the finale; there's bound to be some pre-showdown drama. Sort of like NaD, but less lulz since most of the episode is already lulzy.

But, does anyone feel bad about laughing at Yue's "death" or Jet. I mean, though they played it off as funny, do you think it was a little heartless playing Sokka's grief off as lulz?

I no rite? All of the fangirls were going 'aww' at Sokka crying, and for once I was joining them. This was an emotional and heart-breaking moment for Sokka and they just made a joke about it. Suki didn't even know the full story so she laughed along too.
Actually, I found the Yue joke to be a bit corny. The only thing that I laughed at in that scene was when Sokka put his hand in Suki's face and said "Shooosh! I'm trying to watch." and Suki turns away in annoyance.

Not the joke itself, the fact that they made her death funny seems a little mean.

I'm bringing this up because someone on CAPSLOCK was wondering if that stuff (not the whole episode, just the Jet and Yue stuff) should be played off as funny. Sure the kids who are watching that episode are going to be like "LOL Toph's making fun of Katara because she had a boyfriend!" When the older fans are "Aw.. Jet.. D:"

Maybe the Jet-haters aree going to find that hilarious, but some people are might take that pretty seriously.

I for one laughed anyway though. It's going to be good episode; and it's going to be a fuller, not a filler!

It's okay to laugh at the Jet bit because Jet wasn't dying in that scene. In the Yue scene, it was the actual bit where she died. Not funny. 'Oh Jet, you're so bad' is better than 'goodbye forever Sokka'.

True. But what if they do Jet's death scene?

Hopefully they won't. But Zhao's death scene definitely deserved to be lulz'd.

Ahaha, Yeah.. As much as I love Zhao, his death sort of makes me laugh. Killed by a giant fish? Come on Zhao.. I thought you were better that.

I lol'd at how all of those fangirls screamed when they saw him. Have you seen Noselfcontrol's Water Tribe?

Yeah. I'm a huge Rufftoon fan. I haven't read all of them, but since she's reworking some of the pages, I'm even more interested.

Noselfcontrol is a Zhao lovers club. They post any Zhao related art. Rufftoon is one of the mods for the club. I'm not sure where you can see the original.

The story is that Zhao didn't die at the North Pole, but was found by some of the tribe members. They knew who he was, but he had amnesia so they decided to take him to the Southern Water Tribe. I haven't read a lot of it so I don't know every detail.

So Noselfcontrol isn't a single person, but a group of people. I see.

Yes. I agree with most of it except the idea that Lo and Li are good.

Also, why do they head back to Ember Island?
