    it is me again

kind of sad that the DOD nominations has not been highly active at all

I would like (since the loyalists are active at this forum) if you put this link http://www.tv.com/users/WiseLad/profile.php?action=show_blog&entry=m-100-25511423 part of your signature, the same way it is part of my signature, and encourage other tvcom members of other forums to do the same

    Thanks

It's like people who were respectful posters, and that sort of thing.

I'm no good at explaining things... So here's the link to the thread: http://www.tv.com/avatar-the-last-airbender/show/28841/disciples-of-the-dragon-owls---new-update-05-14-09/topic/13281-876615/msgs.html?page=0&tag=pagination;1

Any new plans and events scheduled for Avatar Commitee Members? Has that Signature making and voting Competition ended yet?

I suppose the new big thing that's going on right now is the June Nominations for the Disciple of the Dragons...

I know I'm not especially active in the Loyalist Committee and it's obvious the boards are becoming more and more inactive. However, I feel the Loyalist Committee could be more proactive in preventing this. I think branching outside of this thread would be a good first step - perhaps Loyalist sponsored events/threads? Like that sig competition? I know the primary role is to keep people here and the way things are being run and organised is fantastic, kudos to Ross and the others. I just wonder if more could be done.

Just my thoughts, anyone else got an opinion on this?

It's what you use to revive someone though electric shock. you know those things on hospital shows where they put the metal plates on the peron's chest and yell "clear!". Except those are used in hospitals. The type I use are just 2 sticky pads attatched to the box.

we have to realize some points

except for blogs, Tvcom Mods prefer one to be on topic "for the forum", not off topic

we are not able to get much "new blood" as not many are discovering avatar than coming here

since there is not new blood, most of the "ON TOPIC" views and such of Avatar has been superficially discussed

we go too much on "tvcom rules" on mind, and thus directors close old threads, like it was done with an old thread, which I gave it a possible spark plug and put it on a possible new spin of it, but was soon after closed (we should give allowances if old old threads are bumped up)

the set of mind of TVcom mods means that except for the "offical movie discussion thread", they would discourage talking and discussing about the movie, instead they want the more open discussions to go to TLA board at movietome

until the movie is close to come, "not rabid fans" would not be going "wow, avatar is back", and when they do(and also new fans), it might spark a lil the ATLA board here, but most of them would be going to movietome and to the TLA board, than make home there

the only way to go might be to use tvcom tools for finding information of the episodes only, and to be more diverse and also be part of other shows boards, and be more "blog active" so we can keep "in touch" with each other if we don't have a forum to interact outside of being "on topic" about ATLA

reasons more people who are true avatards have gone over to the refuge are 1- they can interact freely about thing off topic (not ATLA), and able to go off topic in a thread 2- there is a sense of community with each other, we just not fans of ATLA being together in a board, we are a family in there. talking about countles things freely, not just ATLA or TLA

The only problem I ever had with the refuge was that there was kind of a social gap between the people who joined TV.com by the first few episodes of season 2, and the people who joined TV.com after it.

But other than that, the refuge is awesome.

So I say we make one, last effort to revive this place, and then let it die like the Drake and Josh forum.

How would we be the loyalist committee if we leave? We'd have to change the name.

    flutter

first, I myself didn't join ATLA forum here, until just before season 3 started, so I don't see as fair saying that ones who joined early during book 2 only completely accepted each other, and didn't accept those that came later

Second, GAB, Xanag, Elcundil and kemokage(just to name 4)were never part of TVcom, and they have been accepted at the refuge, and Kyrene has been a great newbie there, and now I consider her a veteran of that site

all it is needed is an effort to "integrate oneself" within the community

and Gilvatar, as cruel as it might sound, we can't force new blood in here, and as I said, there is no much freedom here to go offtopic "within the forum itself" (only on blogs, PM or in "off topics" forums)

so can the loyalists stay loyal forever, and never let go, or should they do like Toph at the library, and just stay as long as possible, but when they see it is time, "let go". or should the loyalists be simply loyal to the whole TVcom site, and start being like Chong and Lily, and be nomads, "happy to go wherever the wind takes us! " at the land of TVcom forums
