hmm kataras death being the one to defy destiny?...well it IS possiblesince in one of the first episode her gran gran..said her and sokka's destinys were intertwined with Aangs........and true, fate seems to have always got in the way whenever an avatar fell in love.....which bars them from using the avatar state.......but there would have to be a VERY VERY VERY GOOD reason to kill off a main character........but if she dies it would be near the end....if at all...b/c technically....the next person to die..should be from the FN since they really have been let off easy in that area...(zhao dosnt count cuz noone cares or misses him in the FN)...so it should be Azula...or *gasp* Mai or Ty Lee..that goes first...and kataras death would probably send aang into an uncontrollable frenzy of anger that would probably do more harm than good........and sokka and the gaang havesuffered enough alrady(jet,Yue,sokka and kataras mom,aangs ENTIRE people, suki maybe) it would get boring if the same people were alwasy suffering losses......
and come on ppl there are so many *Destinys* in this show that katara isnt the only one who could drop dead.......

A funny way to hide Appa would be to write "not a flying bison" on him and the FN soldiers are stupid and fall for it. Or, they could get assistence from the Pi Sho society that helped Zuko and Iroh get into Ba Sing Se, which makes more sense, only I don't know how they'd learn about them.
defying destiny?? No one's destiny has been mentioned more in this series than Zuko's. Yes, Aang has his destiny, but that's more set in stone. Zuko's destiny has always been questioned, although he wants it to turn out one way and forget all the others. So if he's so set on this one destiny of his father loving him (and we know it's not going to happen), I think Zuko is the one to die. And when he does die, that will be when he is officially recognized as good (he'll probably sacrifice himself or save someone's life).
And even though I'm saying all of the above I'll still be in awe if it happens.
