    is like a German going to Texas, and than coming back to Germany and telling people there that Americans say "Howdy folks"

    is a term that is mostly used by the "working class" in Australia

    so your teacher probably never dealt with them

    just like a visitor to Los Angeles might not see much of chicanos or gang members, as he or she would probably visit just the main sights and hotels, and not the suburbs or communities of the middle class or the "downtown" region
