Official Episode Discussion: Lake Laogai (11/3)

    I wanted to start a speculation thread for what promises to be another great edition of avatar. I know there are some spoilers out on this, please do not post them here, other than the ones already on tv.com that are well known:

    Lake Loagai is where Appa and Jet are, Jet returns in this episode and meets everyone. Zuko finds out Appa is in Ba Sing Se and tries to look for him himself. Other than this, spoilers should not be aloud, this is strictly speculation.

    Thankyou all, and let me start by saying that Loagai roughly means "hard labor" in chinese, the actual translation is in the tv.com episode description. I am so happy to hopefully be making a pinned thread. Speculate away.

    I wonder if the gAang is meeting Zuko in this epi... Or if Appa will have the note still on his horn (probably not)

    I wonder what was written on the note...would it be harmful to Aang if Long Feng read it (which he's going to if it's just tied on Appa's horn)

    Yeah, but there might be a possibility that he didn't notice it, as he just flipped Appa underground in like 2 seconds. Appa doesn't like being underground!

    But??Long Feng??went undergroud, too. I'm sure he's going to investigate Appa, and it'd be a hard thing to miss, I would think.

    I have a new theory for Lake Laogai (it isnt mine, my friend's little brother made it and it is amazing:

    THESE ARE NOT KNOWN SPOILERS, THIS IS A GOOD THEORY, IF IT IS TRUE I AM NOT GIVING AWAY INFO.

    Momo is found near appa's footprint, or he leads aang, sokka, katara, toph to where it was found, most likely the first due to that being where we last saw him. Then, toph sences vibrations underground of where Appa and Jet are, she explains this and reconizes appa below. She earthbends them underground in a similar way to Long Feng.

    Again this isnt a spoiler, just speculation

    About your theory, it could as well happen that way... but I would preffer Zuko to find Appa first, hehe.
    (BTW, when is our omnipresent editor going to pin a thread about Lake Laogai?)

    ok i already posted this in the other thread but lake laogai is where long feng's prison for people that talk about the war is, so thats probably where they are gonna meet up with jet

    Also, they mention in the summary that sombody else is looking for Appa. I think it's Azula rather than Zuko. Zuko doesn't even know he and Aang are in the same town so why look for it? He's busy trying to keep both his and Iroh's cover. Azula on the other hand, has been following Appa's shedding fur. She knows Appa's going to go to Aang and could easill lead her to him. She's probably pressuring Suki to talk, but of course our fierce Kyoshi warrior would never bend under torture!
