He wouldn't be much of an earth king if he is trapped underground by his own subjects (he'd have to be horrible as an earth bender).

Zuko's motives for whatever he does shall forever remain a mystery until it happens. Though he's rash and hopeful for his ex-life as we'd expect, he's been unpredictable.

As for the Aang group and Jet reunion, I don't think there'll be a fight between them. I bet when they get over realizing who they just bumped into, Jet will tell them about Zuko and Iroh, or a least that there are fire benders in the city. What I'm wondering about is if Jet and Zuko will cross paths again. Since Jet's only concern is fire benders, he'll likely start another fight despite everything around him.

Yeah, I wondered what Jet will remember. What if he remembers nothing, I mean that "machine" or whatever the hell they were using didn't exactly look sophisticated enought to isocolate one hemisphere of the mind to wipe out one particular memory. I bet he knows nothing, and if he does remember that might turn into one of the bigger plot wholes (not necesarrily plot whole, but you know what I mean) in the story; such as Katara becomign a master in like a week and that huge drill which I'm not sure even America could build, though no one knows every secret of America...whatever. If he does remember something they better elaborate on what that machine is and how it works or...well, I don't know it'd be kinda sorta...random (for lack of a better term)

I don't think Jet would mention anything about Zuko and Iroh, first, he doesn't even know who they are...who they really are, second, he was suppose to forget about the war and the fire nation is part of the war. I wonder what he'll be like without that obsessive part of his personality though...

sucks that it's not airing this week... >

I'm pretty sure he will remember everything. They won't leave the best character in the show brainwashed. And I say when he remembers, he will soon find out about Zuko's and Iroh's true identity and be ANGRY!!! That should start an interesting part of the story.

But don't forget that Jet has been brainwashed. Meaning that the episode Lake Laogai could be completely. Which is what Avatar is known for. I honestly couldn't guess a single thing that has happened in the show so far except for things that Aang and Zuko say they will do like Aang going to the air temple.
Its not that the earth king would be a bad earth bender to be captured but I'm sure that the earth king wouldn't suspect his cultural advisor to decieve and be plotting against him to take over the city. How ever feng was able to brainwash him I'm pretty sure that the earth king has been brainwashed because I seriously doubt the king could be so oblivious to the war and not care what is happening. I think that when aang meets with jet, the gang finds a way to snap jet out of his brainwashed state, thus revealing the location of the underground prison where appa also is. How ever jet was de-programmed I'm sure they find a way reach the earth king and also de-program him from his brainwashed state as well.
Yeah, I say when we learn more about the Earth King and what happened to him, the story will get much better (yes that's possible lol) And I seriously doubt that Jet will be unbrainwashed within one episode. Something as shocking as brainwashing just won't go away in one episode. I know the creators will take full advantage of this situation. Also, I guarantee all of you that smeller bee and Jet's other friend will help get his memory back. I think the guy who doesn't talk will probably say something for the first time to help Jet's memory. Speaking of Jet's friends, does anyone have any clue on what happened to that fat kid?

I think the rest of jets freedom fighters were killed...smeller bee alluded to that in the city of walls and secrets, fire nation burned down their tree forts and killed their friends

Screw us over with a marathon? Jeeze Seriously, you guys aren't looking at the bigger picture. This episode was #17 of this season. Every season, we only get 20 new episodes. This means that counting the episode that should have aired tonight, we have 4 episodes remaining this season. Now, think back to last year. The finale was on December 9th (if memory serves), and season two didn't start up until March. That was an agonizing wait in and of itself. Now, imagine if they just kept on giving out new episodes every week. The season would be over before November. According to the editor of this site, the premier of season 3 is being pushed back. How would it be if we had to wait from November to sometime in April or May for new episodes? See, it's not that Nick doesn't like Avatar, or its fans, its just that they're trying to space out the episodes so they last as long a possible.

I'm really trying to piece together the last five episodes. Lake Laogai, The King, The Guru, The Seige pts 1 and 2. I think it's understood that Lake Laogai exists underneath the city of Ba Sing Se. Will the fire nation use this secret underground lake as a means to get into the city? Or will they use the unseen blimps as a mean to get around the wall (that being my guess)? Could the king be refering to King Bumi? Remember that Bumi is waiting for something. Mabey he's waiting (though unknowingly) for the eclipse. I know that the king is most likely reffering to the king of ba sing se, but you never know. What role will Jet play in this? Will he run into Katara in the streets of Ba Sing Se and she'll realise something is wrong with him. He'll insist nothing is wrong and that there is no war. The gang will snap him out of it ("The fire nation killed your parents Jet")??and he'll remember being underground which will lead them to go investigate. They'll find appa but whats-his-face will show up and that will be the end of the episode perhaps? What about Zuko? My head hurts trying to piece together what will happen in such an unpredictable show.

The release info says they meet him at the Lake and don't trust him (why would they won't him back since they think he's still a nutjob even before being hypnotized).
