I'm sorry this is kinda random since it has nothing to do with what you're all currently talking about, but this is the speculation thread so this is where I have to put it. meh. **(PARTIALLY ZUWEED-INSPIRED) SPECULATION** I think Zuko and Katara are going to make up in either episode 313 or 314. Now, before you all join in a chorus of facepalms and throw tomatoes at me, think about it: the creators have already made a point of distinguishing Katara's feelings towards Zuko from the rest of the gaang. She more than just doesn't trust him; she's furious with him! And the fact is that in a situation where working together as a team is so imperative(ie: The Chase), the gaang pretty much needs a dynamic where no one is THREATENING TO TAKE SOMEONE ELSE ON THE TEAM'S LIFE, so even if there is no Zutara what so ever in season 3, a big portion of the forgiving needs to begin soon. I suppose that Katara could not forgive him anytime soon, and then have that be a subplot that has an epic resolution in the series finale, buuuuuut for the above reasons that seems unlikely imo. That wasn't the partially zuweed-inspired part (Ahahahahahaha), this is the partially zuweed-inspired part: **(THE REAL PARTIALLY ZUWEED-INSPIRED) SPECULATION** In a world where Zutara is canon (whether that world is fiction or reality, I'll let you decide), it will have been a week or two after Zuko has joined the gaang. He has proven himself a valuable asset to the team and everyone in the gaang has grown to love him! (Insert fluffy "Everybody loves Zuko" scene Here) Everyone, that is, except for Katara. (Insert the mood-killer herself into fluffy, Zuko-centric scene, garnering confused--then sad/worried--looks from rest of gaang Here) The main subplot (excuse the oxymoron) for the rest of the episode is Zuko trying to win over the malcontented waterbender using advice from Sokka and/or Toph and/or Aang (and, no, I don't think there will be a ZukoxAangxKatara love triangle. Dear God, PLEASE don't let there be a ZukoxAangxKatara love triangle.... ) and/or the rest of the gaang, causing much "hilarity to ensue." Cuz, you know, Zuko is soooooooo suave. EPIC FAIL after EPIC FAIL, Zuko finally does something that is genuinely amazing/selfless (saving Katara's life??? *sigh* that's clich?? isn't it...) and Katara completely blows him off. Aang, Sokka, Toph, etc. attempt to reason with her, to which she responds by yelling at them and storming off. Zuko, now thoroughly fed up, proceeds to follow her into... where ever she storms off to (I'm feelin' a forest or jungle) and confronts her. They have a heated argument that covers Katara being an unreasonable and judgemental betch--which she kinda has been in more than one situation--; why Zuko still joined Azula, from his point-of-view (ie: otherwise being a traitor to his country, a chance at getting his father's love and the only thing he had really wanted for 3 years, etc.) even though it was wrong; Katara's verbally expressing how much his betrayal of the trust she gave so readily hurt her back in Ba Sing Se (sp?); etc.. Argument continues for quite sometime (well as much time as can be squeezed into probably about 5-10 minutes). Then after calming down and listening to what the other person has to say, w/ apologies on both sides, they head back to camp together. EPISODE ENDS WITH A FUNNY TOPH COMMENT OR SOMETHING Gosh darn essays! Ah well, I had fun... This isn't necessarily what I think will happen, so much as a rough, undetailed outline of what I'd like happen and is, imo, possible. Please note that there is no out right Zutara, although I would get a fangirl!kick out of seeing Zuko try to flatter his way into Katara's good graces. heheheh. Yeaaaah, I know I'm hopeless. Feel free to critique/rejoice in/tear apart as much as you like! hmmmm, I feel like pizza right now. |

love it. although its not Zutara... but yeah...since truthfully i know that Zutara wont happpen, this will @ some point like you said. just because Zutara wouldn't happen doesn't mean a good friendship...I am waiting to see how Zuko makes it up to her. because whether of not Zutara happens, he will make it up some point later, so Kataangers shouldn't be mad about that... |

I seem to recall an interview with Grey Delisle (Azula) where she said she voiced a girl who was portraying Katara in some kind of propaganda play. Do any of you think we will still see this or was it cut from the show since the interview was made several months before S3 aired? |
