Correction; according to Ovidius?? version of the story, Narcissus didn??t drown trying to kiss his reflection. He kept staring at it and couldn??t take his eyes of it, he grew more and more hungry for his reflection; this much he forgot to eat, drink and sleep.......this went on and on, he slowly realised the only thing he loved was untouchable; he himself. Like he was unreachable to the girls and boys around him, now he was his own victim. He slowly died, rotten and died...his skeleton dissappeared in a while. Now on the spot where he died, there is a flower to be seen; A ??narcis??. . AND Narcissus wasn??t really a nymph, actually quite human.

Echo was a nymph who ??talked too much??, in an argument with goddess of Marriage and family Hera, she was cursed to not being able to talk anymore, she could only ??echo?? other??s voices. She fell in love with Narcissus...but he didn??t want her. She also kind of rotted away staring at Narcissus staring at himself, until she disappeared and only her voice was left; the echo of the mountains.

And to get things straight;

GREEK; Hades, Herakles, Hera, Zeus, Dionysos, Aphrodite.....for example.

ROMAN; Pluto, Hercules, Juno, Jupiter, Bacchus, Venus......for example

I didnt know the thing about Herakles, but the Echo story is my favorite. Although, i've only ever heard it where he drowns.
