Just so people new to Avatar can introduce themselves. What's wrong with that?

Nothing, its just... off to have a thread so new users can introduce themselves. When I was new, I just introduced myself on my blog and first post.

I've made quite a few interesting topics. I just thought this was a necessary thread on the Avatar Forum

I think this is a pretty necessary thread, it's useful for people that are new to this thread and don't know where to start.

I think this thread would be very helpful to newbies because there are a lot 'unspoken' rules in this forum. My fave so far is when someone starts a??thread that is currently in progress in nine different places already and the veteran??Avatar posters??smell blood in the water, circle like sharks and proceed to go Jackie Chan on the newb's backside for sport.

Dinner AND a show as it were.

Perhaps this thread could??serve as a meet and greet for the Avatar-ites new to the TV.com forum (as was bravely suggested by the author of this thread) but also as a 'safe haven' to??learn more about the secret handshakes and decoder rings which may seem??like no-brainers??to??those who've been here for a while but for the relatively new can be??confusing.????

I don't mean this isn't unnecessary, but it could be useful you're right.

Yea that happens to me all the time. Mainly because I don't check this forum every day and by the time I post a question in the "ask a question get an answer" theres alrdy another 30-40 posts on it so I can't be bothered to check.

Anyway, I normally don't watch too much t.v. anymore but when I saw the first episode I was hooked. I loved the whole aspect and story of this show. I live up in Canada so we don't get the episodes as fast as most do (The newest episode to air so far has been The Desert) but I manage to get my fill on the newest episodes from this site.

??I'm pretty pumped to read the episode recap of the last 2 episodes this friday so hopefully someone nice from these forums will have one up by the end of the weekend =)

I promise I'll try.?? I live in the United States, and even though we get them pretty fast, I don't have Nickelodeon anymore. ??

Can't make any promises though that I'll get it.

    Is that redundant??

hey Proximity42, I also live in Canada, but I saw all episodes up to date. For the season finale I won't be able to see it on Friday, but I will see it the next morning. How you may ask, I have one word for you: Torrents.

Hey everyone...I don't know if you all decided if this board was necessary or not (although I think it's a great idea) but I'm sorta new to this forum. I used to post on the Avatar forum a lot, but I don't anymore (I got hooked on the NCIS boards). I don't know if anyone remembers me or if anyone's seen any of my few posts. But anyways I decided since Iv'e benn lurking around here more often, I might as well post more often, but since I left this forum, it seems to have grown... a LOT. So I just thought I'd drop by this thread and say hi so I'm not a complete stranger anymore.

Realius I wanted to welcome you. I am sorry there have been many things said in this thread which may have caused you to delete your earlier post introducing yourself however I want you to know that??you are not alone in as much as being a mom with kids and loving Avatar. My husband and I have two kids (a??7-year old boy and 13-year old girl) and we ALL absolutely adore Avatar.

Case in point we're having our own Season 2 Finale Party this Friday with 'Fire Nation 4-Alarm Chili' and 'Avatar Kyoshi Unagi Sushi Rolls.' (not eaten all together though lol) Also on board??'Monk Gyasto Airbender Cookies.' So please know you are not the only adult posting on these boards. You are in good company.

If you or anyone else has any questions we're here to help! Welcome to the mutual 'Avatar Appreciation Society' aka the Avatar TV.com forums!
