    im crying.... will he really give up katara, & if he does, what will he do to give up katara? and since he has to give up katara- will katara go to another path with zuko? omg, this is gonna be the craziest season finale... will aang and katara ever make it to the official KATAANG??? omg, i think im having a heart attack, please aang control yer avatar state & still have katara as yer lover! im dying, im dying... call avatar-911! (over-reacting) ahhh.... zutarians are having a frenzy! and what about TOPH!?

    and AANG SAYS THAT HE LOVES KATARA!!! aaaahh! KATARA DONT DO A STUPID MISTAKE WITH ZUKO! YOU BELONG TO AANG, AND AANG TO YOU! DONT DIE TOPH, SUKI, ZUKO, AND AANG! I LOVE YOU!

    Aang and Katara have no future. His first priority is being the Avatar, this isn't soemthing new either, remember in the first season they made their way to the fire nation temple even though aang was barely trained in the other elements and katara's water bending skills weren't that great at all, risking all their lives because he had to. He will give her up there can be no doubt about it, doesn't mean that it will be easy for him though.

    Aarrruuggghhh! I'm so torn. I'm a die-hard Kataang fan and he friggin said he LOVED HER!!!! But in the end the show is about him becoming the Avatar (or full avatar whatever). What is he going to do? Oh yeah, this is the first time we're going to see their universe liek the stars and galaxy and stuff, it looked cool already!!! And wait, the guru??said that if aang left he wouldn't be able he wouldn't be able to go into the avatar state at ALL! (why is going trying to leave???? OoOoO to save katara!!!!) uuggghh, im so divided! yes,??please control yer avatar state and still love katara!??

    How funny it is to read some of this stuff!

    Katara not a main character? ARE YOU JOKING ME?! She has only been in every episode except Zuko Alone and Appa's Lost Days, neither of which Aang was in for more than a minute combined. The main characters ARE Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, Iroh, Momo and Appa and this season Toph.

    You may not like her, whatever. But to say she is not a main character is just stupid. Who would you consider main characters then? Just Aang? Or maybe Aang and Zuko? Dear God, even if you don't like her you have to admit she's a freakin' main character! So if she's not a main character to you what is she?

    What? No, no. I'm saying that Katara isn't the central main character. Aang is, he is the Avatar afterall.


    Ahhh alright.

    Anywho, to end this silly "will he really give Katara up deal" the official Nick press release for season 3's official season order included "Aang, Katara and Sokka face the Fire Lord." Hmmmm...

    Sorry to go off on sort of a tangent but if you guys have seen Star Wars this is very similar to Anakin Skywalker???s situation: Love or Duty?. His destiny was to become a Jedi master, but he wanted love as well. And when he tried to have both love and become a Jedi, things turned out horribly. . . He had to hide who he was and lie to everyone and make his love lie to everyone???I don???t think we want Aang to end up breathing through a Vader mask because he couldn???t bear to leave Katara behind???.It's an unfortunate necessity that he forgets about Katara

    I don't know what to feel. Happy? Sad? Angry? Eager? So many that I am confused.

    Aang? Having to give up Katara? That blew me away, and I am not a hardcore Kataanger. When he said, "Why would I give up Katara? I love her." It made me want to cry. It's sad, because for so long he felt that way for her and wanted to tell her--only to find out he can't have her anyway! (Maybe that's why no one has mentioned the Avatar getting married. Having loves, but not spouses.) I'm a Taanger and yet I'm not happy about Aang giving up Katara--what's wrong with me? LoL ^__^

    Azula telling Zuko, let's work together? It's like Zuko's dream--finally being with that side of the family, but it's too late. Does he chose to be with her or does he chose a new path and become allies with the Avatar?

    I CANNOT WAIT A WEEK FOR THIS???????? And where is Toph?

    Totally agree with you!

    His first and far most important duty is to save the world. Period! End of story. I'm not say that he has to give her up as a friend, or even as a fighting buddy but hopefully he's realize where his real responiblity is.

    star wars and avatar do have some similarities but, the thing is that aang is too kind and undoubtful about his duty as the avatar- you know he wont turn evil, maybe he might just change, better or worse.

    ok im not trying to be meen or anything, but i mean even though aang is the avatar, he's the ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD WHO CAN'T LOVE. sure, he HAS to save the world, but maybe theres some other feelings he has, fer a someone aka katara. i meen, aang KNOWS his first reponsbility is to be the avatar and save the world, and what not... but he can love, he has feelings and he is human., why should being the avatar stop him by feeling love?
