    Actually, all the S3 episodes were finished before the season even started.
    Well they must have really fallen behind because as it stands right now the finale, aka episodes 318-321, are not finished. Up through 317 are done, but not any of the finale episodes. In the last month or so they just finished 314-317. So no, all the episodes actually were not finished before the season started.

    Wow! I never knew that. So that would explain this hiatus a bit too right? But I think the biggest parts are already done right? They must be in the 'extra polish to make them shine before putting them to public' phase.

    MY guess is that they still need to do voice work and that's it, because Giancarlo Volpe (?) said all the episodes are already animated on his deviantart, but I don't know the link to it.

    It will be focusing on a love triange between katara zuko and toph since it is the boiling rock....toph=rock, Katara=water to boil, Zuko=the heat to warm the water.....lol...
