Oh no... First bloodbending, now this... Katara is gonna be more powerful than the Avatar...

She is. All she needs to do is go up to firelord ozai and waterbend the water out of his body. Hey presto the war's over, Aangs a doofus.

As for right now he only knows the basics of his other elements, but he already knows how to see with his feet like Toph, so he can definitely learn metal and blood bending. Also, Aang being a waterbender could just bend the water out of Ozai's body, but that would be too easy.

But Aang needs to close his eyes to earthbend like Toph And I dont think that Katara wants to teach Aang how to bloodbend.

    Magma/Lava=Liquid form of Rock.

    Off to the Bending Thread!

Nice theory, but highly unlikely. Waterbender means just that-a bender of water. Not every liquid has water in it, and magma/lava is one of those water-less liquids. If you're wondering how this is possible, allow me to explain. A liquid is a substance whose atoms/molecules contain too much energy to stay in the highly organized and ordered structure that is characteristically found in solids. They therefor are free to move past each other and flow, forming a liquid. Magma/lava is simply solid rock whose molecules have absorbed enough energy in the form of heat to break free of their structured arrangement and flow past each other, transforming the solid rock into liquid magma/lava.(and I thought my chemistry classes would never come into good use.) As you can see, no water is involved in this process. However, I do realize that this is a cartoon, so waterbender could very well mean a bender of anything liquid.

Just a small and probably irrelevant thought -- a comet is technically a boiling rock. It's a chunk of space debris that develops its tail from solar energy "boiling" some of the ice and dust from it.

OK if no one knows book 3 volume 3 well be sold to the public on May 6, 2008 and it well have chapters 11-15, so here some basic logic, if it well have 11-15 and ep14 and 15 have yet to air it they will be aired before that day so please wait. There is a high probability that 14 and 15 will air the same day since everyone since its called the boiling rock part one and part two. Now the thing that would really suck is if it is air but not in English, even though it well air in a non-english country, which hopefully does not happen, the episodes when be in English on the DVD and end up somewhere in the internet like veoh. so remember it well be online on march 6 or before. hope this helps those who are can't wait anymore to see the episode and are tired of the wrong air dates some place give.

I can't believe they are rerunning episode 3 now before showing the new eps! I know that there are always bigger breaks within the seasons, but haven't there already been big breaks before DOBS and WAT? What if I get overrun by a truck tomorrow? I don't want to die without knowing the end of Avatar!

It kind of makes me wonder: By simply putting putting "official" in the thread title actually make it so? Is possessing that label supposed act as a means of prevention from the thread being locked, deleted, or dying? I must know!

i dont think waterbenders could controll it tho i do think that both fire and earth benders could.

    my reasoning:
    1. lava is just extremly hot rock, no water therefore earth benders may be able to bend it.
    2. lava is really hot so firebenders mite be able to.

probably a combination of fire and earth bending so only the avatar could do it

OH my god! I just had a terrible nightmare tonight!

I dreamed the Boiling rock part 1 was aired, and it was some very weird episode in which The gaang decided to freeze a volcano and jump in it and there they found pirates that were singing Disney songs! And in part 2 they continued singing disney songs in a frozen volcano...the horror!
