The Blue is the route of Book 1, starting at the South Pole...duh.
The Yellow is Book 2, starting in a mountain range.
The Orange is Zuko and Iroh's route as refugees in Book 2.

Some of it may not be 100% accurate *not sure*, but it's still really cool

This isn't a real issue with the map but I've just realised something, there are supposed to be Four Air temples yet there are only three groups of islands belonging to the Air Nomads. Where's the Forth one?

Well, on the gangs way to the north pole, they went to the Northern Air temple, right???It was right before they??got to the north pole, in fact. So, that must mean that the mountain range at the top of the earth nation was once part of the air nation. ??

Actually, not many people know this, but there are only 3 Air Temples:

Northern and Southern where the (male) Monks lived

and Eastern where the Female Airbenders lived?? (this was confirmed in an interview with the creators on Turbo Nick)

WAIT A SECOND! If the eastern air temple was where the women airbenders trained, then why were Aang's teachers planning on sending him THERE to complete his training (before he ran away)?

and also, if that is so, why is the northern air temple in that mountain range on earth kingdom? Is it inaccurate? I'm curious, since this is kinda based on chinese culture, (where west is east and east is west) would the airbender islands on the Right side of the map be the eastern air temple place?

In the serpent's pass, Suki mentions that the fire nation controls the western lake, and when you compare the lake she was looking at when she said it with the direction they were traveling, she was clearly looking at the upper lake on the map. If that is the 'western' lake, than my theory of east being west and west being??east must be correct, meaning the airbender islands on the RIGHT side of the screen are the eastern air temple place. That raises the question, was the northern airtemple in the earth kingdom mountain range, or the northern-most airbender islands? I would think the islands makes more sense, but I don't know for sure.

the map is not inaccurate. the northern air temple is part of the EK, and always has been, because, if you remember in "The Northern Air Temple", those Earth Kingdom refugees lived there, so i'm guessing the EK took that land when the Air Nomads were wiped out, even though the FN controls that part. and west can't be east because the FN is in the west, and if you remember, Iroh is known as the Dragon of the WEST.

Well it's accurate okay in the opening on Avatar as the camera scrools down after katara says "The 4 nations lived in harmony..." The mountains on the north are white.

Is there a spot missing for Book 1? I only counted enough locations for 19 episodes (including the fact that some locales have 2 or 3 episodes). Not that I'm putting down you hard work, which I know you did. Just curious.
