Yes. It could work. Bryan and Mike are nice. They'll listen, if we get enough people to do it. It makes sense. They probably want to end on a good note, which this will do. Please people, just consider it. Even if this doesn't work, at least we tried.
You forget one vital piece, de flames. The Nick Execs!

Okay dude. If you don't think this will work, just don't post in here anymore. I'm just trying. That's all. If it happened for Evangelion, then possibly it can happen for Avatar. Who knows what'll happen? That's why I'm trying. Sorry if you don't think this'll work, but I'm going to give it my best shot regardless. Everyone (if anyone) who's with me, thanks for your help.

Don't get me, it sounds great and could be possible. But you do have to take these things into consideration too. If you don't take the criticism of the other side, your plan may fail by account of things not taken into account.

Okay than. Thanks for your support. I think Avatar's budget is fine for one more episode. Just think about how successful the show has been so far. With all the dvds released, games made, and fangear, I think it shouldn't be a problem at all to make one more episode. Also, wasn't it speculated that Bryke was working on an epilogue? I thought I heard it somewhere, but don't regard it as true.

I really don't like the idea of changing what Bryke wants simply because a supposed half of the fandom doesn't agree with it. It isn't their story so they're consent isn't needed.

If half the fandom really care about who hooks up with who THAT much, then half of all you lummoxes are dead to me.

Frankly, I really don't care about either ship.

Although from a pure storytelling standpoint, Zutara would be lame.

If only 80% (just an estimate) of the fandom could understand.

If you guys disapprove of it, please just leave then. I'm just trying something out. It may not work, it may not. I don't really care, because in the end, I know I at least gave it a shot. You guys can all shoot me down, but I'm going to try anyways. This thread is not for whether or not it'll work. This thread is for people who want to try something so that both major shippings can be satisfied. I don't really care whether you think its worth it for shipping or what not. I'm trying it regardless of what you guys say. So either try to help my cause, or keep away from it if you think it's a bad idea. Thanks.

Public forum dude. So what exactly is your plan? Beg them to spend a million bucks an alternate ending so that everyone can be satisfied? Isn't that an insult to all of their hard work to develop their own story and their own ending?

Oh and if you really don't want people to disagree with you, you can always post a blog and moderate it.

The man in me can't do that, flames. Wondefully proper name, btw. And now that you've said not to tread on you, tread I must. Heard of conscientious objectors? Well, I'm an intentional offender.

How do you know they didn't add an alternative in one part of the bonus DVD?

Alright, I doubt that. But, one could dream of the extra minutes of Avatar. Even if it is shipping-wise.

Here's the good thing. I do like the idea. It's very good and I'd imagine that Bryke would love to make all the fans happy. However, there's the budgetting problem. Included, they probably want their story told the way it has happend. Now, I'm actually praying there's no epilouge to when they're older and people get married- so then, it's harder for them to seperate. My friend and I thought it would be fine if there was no wedding announcements and the paring could stay on their said age, giving the fans to speculate if they would stay together or not.
But, if there's an epilouge involving kids and etc., this idea would actually be better played in this situation (purely IMO).

Again, I like your thinking, but my guess is that the creators want to stick on the ship that happens in the show and leave the fans to storytell/fanfic the rest of their lives in peace (because, you know it's going to happen, anyway).

    I like this plan.

The two main shipping camps will be appeased, the Avatar ending will be a suprise this time around, and Ozai and Azula might actually get what they deserve.

Could be an extra feature on the DVD or something, or the plot for a TV movie...

I've always loved the parallel universe excuse for a TV movie...
