It's obvious that Aang did not die. How do people not know that?

I think that the avatar cycle is only broken if he dies in the avatar state and does not come back.

Well he was in the avatar state when Azula shot him. I'd say if he HAD died and been brought back to life, the Avatar cycle WOULD have been broken, and when Aang came back, the cycle would restart from the beggining, meaning Aang would be like, the first Avatar again. Which would mean no more avatar state because there are no avatars before him. He's the first one.

OR: if he HAD died and been brought back to life, the cycle would have been broken and the Avatar would cease to exist. Except Aang was brought back to life, and MAYBE when that happened, SOMEHOW an avatar was born into the next nation in the cycle, which means when Aang died another avatar was born somewhere else, and later Aang was revived. But that is impossible. It sounds cool though.

Aww that's real ****ed up.??I'm a pro-Death person,??don't call me an idiot cuz I think differently than you, that's some ol' bullsh!t. I know before??said I didn't care about this subject anymore, but just when someone calls me an idiot for thinking the way I do it pisses me off.

I wanna know why the idea of raising the dead is SO farfetched. Doctors do it all the time. When people??flatline it means their heart stopped and they're dead, but you can bring them back by defriburlating their heart to start it back beating. And when they wake up they can thank the doctor saying "you saved my life". "Mortally wounded." "Saved his life." That isn't enough to say anything is official to me. That's just how I see it. Anyone got a problem with that? Too bad.

Okay. I've already had this argument with my sister, so you wanna go there? Fine. Here we go...
Aang did not die...That would have vair bad. This, as previously stated, would have broken the chain of past Avatars, and therefore, the all-powerful "Avatar state" would cease to exist. And no more hope of defeating the evil fire lord. (Haha! I accidentally typed "fire load." That would have been oh so funny...) THE END OF SERIES.
Now, there was a chance that Aang may have died but this was diminished when Katara healed his "back wound." Now that he hasn't any open wound, he will live. Yay! AANG STILL HAS A CHANCE - NO END. YAY!

Dying would??break Avatar cycle, we know that I know that. But, there's a catch: Aang didn't stay dead. He was brought??back. His arrow flashed right before he opened his eyes, the Avatar spirit still is alive, cuz Aang is still alive. Why wouldn't the Avatar's past be brought back with him? Aren't they they just his past reincarnations making him the same as they are, only in different bodies? That's why I say he could die and come back and nothing happen to the Avatar cycle.
