    i just got an idea! it is probably the wrongest thing ever! but still
    maybe since aang did kinda die there but then katara healed him, maybe there will be another avatar!
    because the avatar would be reincarnated
    so yeah
    it wont help against the fire nation, but it would be mucho cool

    if aang did die (i REFUSE to admit he did!) then the avatar cycle would have been broken because azula attacked him while he was in the avatar state. but once again, i say that there wouldn't be a season three at all if aang died because that would pretty much end the series. i mean, i gess the rest of the gaang could still go on w/out aang but he's the main caracter, it's about the avatar for goodness sake!

    One Flew Over the Cuckoo???s Nest - The main guy gets labotomized, but the bad guy isn't quite as powerful

    And as for TV shows there are episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark with this scenario such as The Tale of the Chameleons. And every time The Twilight Zone has a villain, the villain seems to win, such as in the episodes Living Doll, The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street, and It's A Good Life.

    If you know where to look you'll find villains emerging victorious over butchered good guys left, right, and center

    well on that note i'd just like to remind you that this is a kid's show on nickelodeon!!! it's not the omen or any of those things, it's a kid's show (not that there's anything wrong with that just making a point) and it's not going to end up with the fire nation taking over and all the other nations being under thier command in a terrible world of darkness and aang dieing etc.

    Hey... I read about a comparison about that between the Prince and Harry Potter (Half Blood Prince, hah), but that could totally tie in with Avatar as well... Would you think Azula's using Ozai and Zuko?

    i agree the people who have theory he died so he lose his powers keep missing somithing huge the shows called avatar the last airbender not lost my avatar powers then some guy took my show

    It would definatley be intersting if Aang lost, terrible, but intersting and different. We all know that the Fire Nation is going down, but we also know that Avatar also makes plot twists and just complete left turn ideas, so while it will be cliche that the world will be at peace, they will make it as un-cliche and as awsome as they can, they won't dissapoint. Who knows, maybe Aang will die when he destroys the Fire Lord (noooooo! *weeps*).

    I don't think the war is necessarily over, but it definetly looks really, really bad for the Earth Kingdom. They still have some bases scattered around, like general Fong's base (from "The Avatar State") They actually mentioned that there is where the base of operations will be for the "day of black sun," so who knows maybe they will carry out that plan, but they will considerabily have less troops than plan. Their only hope would be the avatar.

    Even if Aang died (and that is a big if) and an new avatar was born into the water tribe, the new avatar would only be a baby. So even if this happened the new avatar would not be a big part of the show.

    The water tribe is stronger than ever now since the northen tribe went to help the southern tribe rbiuld itself. Also there is still bumi's master plan to take back omashu and the base where general fong is (Although i wouldn't be suprised if it has been captured by now with that idiot in command). Also it isn't stated if aang died in the avatar state or if he was just injured. I believe he was just injured since i don't see how water can bring someone??back to life, i mean i know it's a kid show but still it's water, Oh right (sarcasticaly)oasis water. Anyway the war is not over and although it's likely, i don't think the fire nation will let it's defenses down so soon. But still the good guys have this going for them

    Toph can bend metal and so can aang since she will teach him.

    Aang has mastered avatar state.??

    Katara is super uber pissed at zuko and azula

    Zuko??can take down the fire nation from the inside now just like azula did the earth nation.??(We all know zuko is going to go back to good eventually)

    damn i'm watching it right now and i am wondering why aang is fighting like a damn newbie bender. I mean katara,azula,toph,roku,haru,zuko,oppa, and zhao??all moved up a step in the ranks of benders cause aang just lowerd it. Iroh is not there because he is simply a freaking amazing bender and he would own everyone else listed here combined. Hell he would own roku ??

    We have seen the Southren, northren and eastren air temples. But what about the Westren Air temple? I do believ that the fire nation has LET some air benders live but under captivity.

    I don't think the war is over because the Aang Gang stil might have a chance before the fire nation will completely take over Ba Sing Se.

    No. They are making it look like the FN is over. There are too many factors that Azula can't even see to stop her plan. I'm about to make a thread about that.

    Sure it's The Omen. Damien Thorn was an evil kid. He turned out to be non-other then the anti-christ. Azula's an evil kid too (well, teenager). Probably for the same reason. Like Damien Thorn, she's a threat to the entire world intending to to bring down mankind with a fiery force from below! (on the map, the FN is down south) You really believe Azula isn't the anti-christ? I'd bet if you shaved the back of her head you'd find a birthmark forming the number 666!

    Humor aside, yes I know it's a kid's show. That wasn't the point of my post. Somebody made a challenge to name one movie/show where evil destroyed good, believing as a generalization good ALWAYS triumphed over evil in movies/TV and I just couldn't resist. Over the last two months I had seen movie after movie after movie after movie where the villain won, and had even participated on another message board on another site about movies where the bad guys one. So after such recent exposure, I couldn't pass up the chance to share the titles with the rarer, darker ending.

    Well the Firenation as completely destroyed the leadership of the Air Nomads, Water tribes and Earthkingdom

    but that doesn't mean their still aren't people that won't submit to their rule...there is still going to be a resistance for the FN to fight (think Star Wars IV...even though Palpatine took over the Galaxy and ended the war, not everyone submitted, and he basically just started a new war )

    but If Aang can't kill Ozai before that commet hits then everyone is really screwed
