    Dafoose, I'm surprised at you. The appropriate response was: "That's like saying you're sick of breathing".

    How could you, of all people forget an Iroh quote?

    Here, have some tea, you obviously need it.

    *Facepalm* You are so right. I don't deserve my title anymore. just kidding. *moreseriosly* It was a...minor setback.

    I do need tea, actually. Thanks.

    I'm drinking lung ching dragonwell right now. (or by the time you read this, DRANK it already.)

    Let me describe it.

    It's a sweet, medium bodied tea, that's best served in the evening, but before it gets dark. On occasion, drink moderately, especially when you haven't had it in a while.

    And seriously, How can you get sick of tea! That's like, getting sick of breathing!

    Do you want to stop breathing? See my poster: ^_^ cookies for whoever gets the reference.

    Yeah. Acutally, they're both new. I figured that if I was going to come out of my RP shell, I would exchange my old sig, which looked just like it, for that one you see now. Better pic anyways. And it's just...me, like right when I got the idea.
    My pics come from iroh.org and dongbufeng.net.

    I love this thread. There's something about the gentle wisdom of Iroh and his tea that I think embodies the spirit of Avatar at heart, and helps you see just what made you really fall in love with the show in the first place. Personally, I think that Iroh trumps the "Wise Mentors" in all other epic legends. Gandalf and Yoda get swept off the floor. Dumbledore is close, but in the end even he is simply no match for Iroh as far as awsomeness is concerned.

    I think you're absolutely right about that. The other wise characters are canon, but Iroh's got his own story.

    I like that you noticed that. I think tea has something to do with it.

    I find a personal and happy satifaction from appreciating tea. Tea appreciation to me, is an art.

    Really? That's amazing! OMG. I had no idea somebody could be that funny! Let me explain it to you! XD

    It means quoted for tension. that's how it's pronounced anyways.

    In this thread, we are trying to stay on the topic of TEA, IROH, And the combination of their awesomeness. We also talk about everything related to those two keywords.

    TO be back on topic, I've got another "tea" related picture.
    The tea in the picture is spice tea, as hama said.

    To add to the credibility of how Iroh became a great tea maker i'll remind everyone of the episode where Iroh accidently makes poisonous tea.

    And if i remember right i think he also mentioned he knew the cure as well, and the question arises, why would a casual tea drinker make poisonous tea or even have the opportunity to?

    How would he know the cure?

    Deceiving appearences

    It seems from all the episodes of avatar i've watched, and what i've seen of Iroh, i've learned that looks can be decieving. He appears to be a normal man who regularly drinks tea but when you follow the story deeply you find that even little things like tea become important.

    Just remember that one board game he always played, pao something. Remember how the game tied him to the secret order of the white lotus?

    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    Sum it all up
    1) He experiments with exotic teas (some even being poisonous)
    2) Small items in his life become very important (board game and order of the white lotus)
    3) He's known to be deeper than what is just on the surface. (Redirecting lightning, become super bulky in his jail cell, defeating the last dragons on earth but not killing them)
    Iroh is definitely a tea connoisseur and he's definitely not to be judged by a first glance.
    You see it from my point of view as well, because that's what I was saying earlier too. :3 but now we've got everyone posting, which is cool.
    He couldn't distiguish the difference between the dragon lily and the white jade, so he gambled because he loves tea so much. :3
    Definetly not to be one that is judged by cover.
    Irohthetea: I think summer evening is a great time to drink tea. When the moon isn't full or new. A time to drink tea would be before the sun sets and after the sun rises.
    also, a great time to drink tea is when it's on your mind, unless it's on your mind because you're drinking it already.
    I don't think he ever fought with the dragons. I think he just, met them, like zuko and aang did. Dragons are dragons you know.
    And yeah, we do find out in the end he's a grand lotus, which would make him one of the most important people in the Avatar world, little did we know is season one and two.
    The only other person who know more about plants than iroh is this lovely gal.
