Heres what??I think is the reason the fire nation wants to take over the world...
Maybe the fire nation is taking over the world so they can unite the people as one. That guy in the swamp said that everything is connected and all four nations??are one. Maybe they're just were just trying to establish world peace. Maybe the airbenders refused to be peaceful, so they killed them. They just want world peace (in a violent way).

no offense but that is a crazy idea that the fire nation wants peace by attacking and killing other people. The fire nation wants to rule the world because they believe fire is the superior element overall all others and so they should then control the world.

The key to winning the war is keeping the nations seperated. Of course, they do want to "unite" the nations into one big fire nation.

yeah no. sorry but in the episode where Admiral Zhao captured Aang he gave a whole speech about how they were the sons and daughters of fire, the supreme element.

?????? In the 5th dvd commentary, the creators gave the reason why?? the fire nation wanted to take over.?? They said it was because the fire nation needs more resources because they are in an industrial revolution. If you remember form history class a nation that is?? in an industrial revolution needs a lot more supplies and with the other countries so primitive in comparison the fire nation got a little greedy. You may also see this a lot in Sid Meier's Civilization computer game.

It is a good idea but doubtful, if their goal was to unite the world then what would have been ozai's motivation for killing his old man, kill his dad then continue with what he started makes little sense, good idea though.
