    Thats what the Romans believed what they were doing 2000 years ago so the idea isn't that farfetched, but I still don't think thats the reason why.

    Another 'slogan' was "Big brother is watching you". The Firelord has eyes and ears everywhere....


    Well that happens on both sides. In Ba Sing Se you got the whole FREEDOM IS SLAVERY, IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH, with the whole Dai Li being the "Big Brother is watching you" thing going on.

    Hitler was trying to make a better world by killing off who he thought were the cause of all evil. His way was the only real way and anyone who thought differently was either pusnished or killed. He wanted to bring his idea of peace to the world. ((Fortunatly, he was an idiot.)) The F.N. see the other elements as 'lesser' and/or 'savage'. They think that by concering the world they are helping them.
