It's an American animation.?? It was created and produced by Americans.?? I think the animation is done in Korea, but that doesn't mean anything.?? Many of the characteristics of japanese animation have influenced animation and comic books in America.?? Most the expressive eyes and use of colors.?? I think I've heard that America uses more frames per second for cleaner animation, though.

Some define anime as a style of animation, and Avatar definitely has that style, but it's influenced by American culture and it's not what you normally call an anime. I always wonder though, what does it mean for anime to be Japanese animation if the show's made somewhere else, or the creator's from somewhere else.

See that second sentence. As for the Kataang thing, (I take it your referencing here) wasting your time, I don't do ship.

You can look up anime on dictionary.com and see that two definitions say it's a style, which is why I said some people define it that way.

because the creators have supported Kataang the most, it's hinted in a lot of episodes, and people just like the pairing. just because you don't like the ship doesn't mean others can't

It's kind of wrong though.?? Anime, in and of itself, is animation.?? In Japan, they refer to Disney as being anime.?? It gets its definition from America.?? Supposedly, there are different terms for Chinese or Korean animation.?? Even referring to anime as a style is inaccurate as there are multiple artistic styles that are distinctly different.?? We don't look at He-Man and Gi Joe and say they are the same style.

I think all ships are dumb...but that's just me...this whole Zutara, Kataangelo or whatever it's called...that's somethin' I flat don't care about...and well I'd answer the question but it's only been answered a half dozen times so not much I can add at this point...
