*gets Zen like again* The deadliest foe, is the foe unknown.

I wouldn't really consider that a loss since she was in the water and katara didn't even have to fight her, i thought it was pretty stupid to follow a waterbender through water. I think i addressed the whole unknown thing when i said there is no way she could do it without at least a scratch. I doubt many characters on the show could do it that effortlessly. Iroh, Bumi, Pakku, Azula, Aang, and Zuko. I would doubt anyone else could.

Ok let me try to settle this-

Eh, I???d have to go with cartoon physics on this one (and it was a pretty cartoony episode). Avatar???s great and all, and that incident that occurred in the Deserter was really something but I don???t think that the creators plan on having the characters experience real intense, long-lasting pain or sustaining serious injuries until later in the series. You know what???d be cool, if sometime in the third season Sokka gets seriously injured protecting the gang from Fire Nation assassins or something. Then instead of having him be good as new by the end of the episode, or even by the very next scene (yeesh ) he instead is forced to carry his arm in a sling or something for the next couple of episodes. Just think of it, he could even get some good character development out of it all. You know ???I've always??known I???m not the best fighter but?????? or ???Looks like I don???t have what it takes to keep my promise to dad after all??? You get it? See it now? After that pretty surprising thing with Zuko???s hair, I have the upmost faith in the creators.

Ty Lee did lose to Katara. I see your point. 13(?) year old girl Bender beats 15 year old girl Non-bender who beat 10+ Elite(?) soldiers. Though to be fair, I don't think anybody puts their best soldiers on the guard tower, so I don't think they were the elites.

They clearly stated that they were elite??along with the cheesy team name, Katara's fourteen (they change Zuko's hair but do nothing for the ages?), and yeah I liked the swamp, and return to omashu.

Well I forgot is it the terror team or Terra team? Well the real elites are in the inner wall.

terra means earth kind of so i bet its that. Im Still angry about this, yes im gonna keep bringing this up.
Well, maybe she'll fight Jet. Cause we all know Jet will have the Stormtrooper effect helping him out too. Word to the wise: If you don't have name, run. Run for your life. Ever hear of the Redshirts? Your one of em'. I'm glad that not everybody has that special effect around them, though. I mean, Sokka, who's a main protaginast, hardly ever wins. It is possible, however, for Ty Lee to just win. She had the Element of surprise, she's fast, and she's underestimated. It's still hard to believe, but it's possible.

The deadliest foe is the foe unknown...this is exactly what i'm talkin about...

Ah comon dude, don't tell me that's all u got from out of all that. Anyhoo, I found it relieving as wel as fascinating that they went into stages and made his hair grow out the way they did. How they paid so much attentio to detail. I honestly believed it was gonna stay tha way for the rest of the season or maybe not appear again till the next.??Its stuff like that that makes u forget its a cartoon show you'know?

Yeah, I was somewhat dissapointed, especially this being my first "new" episode to watch.

I think how they treated Appa was okay... it couldve stretched longer, but then thatd be kinda weird. The episode was centered around how Aang had to change. Moral vs. storyline? maybe.

I agree totally: the secret was nothing big. I guess the first episode lacked distance in the storyline. It had some good parts, but it didnt go too far until the second part.

    Oh well.

    That was funny...

But it did let us know that Toph has a crush on Sokka.
I mean, how else would we of figured that out? Toph isn't exactly the blushing and giggling type.

hahaha quite right.?? shes too young for him though...

on another note, to anyone who has read Harry Potter, Sokka remindeds??me of Ron with all the insensitive comments he makes about Toph now.

the drill is part of the secret.... you see the fire nation knows that when the comet arrives they will be basically unbeatable and so they are trying to take charge now even before the comet arrives and in the next episode.... SPOILER WARNING!!!!!!

and plus you know when suki said "they are working on something big on the other side and they dont want anyone to know what it is" may be part of the reason they called it "secret" of the fire nation.... im sorry if im deathly wrong but i do think that the drill is at least PART of the fire nations secret...

Uh does that first part make any sense? I mean logically wouldn't they do the exact??opposite??and instead buy??their time and wait for the comet (which is why I'm confused why they're attacking the capital in the first place, just more proof of how almost completely??pointless that episode was).??Ah well you did give us a warning.

the sotfn was kinda dissapointing but it was still good they just made it seem like it was going to be the best thing ever. and i didnt like how aang was all the sudden hopeful again just by seeing a new born, it was just to cheesy and it really annoyed me, other than that it just went by a little to fast and iroh heating his tea pissed me off cuz he should be smarter than that, those were the ony things that majorly bugged me though.

Okay, forgive me if someone wrote virtually the same message, but I was waaay too lazy to read all 100 or whatever posts.

This episode (and yes, I did not say movie on purpose) just made me mad. Don't get me wrong, I was still laughing at Sokka's jokes and totally unable to take my eyes off the screen, but the entire time I was waiting for them to tell me the big secret. And then it came to the last commercial break and I thought, "Well, maybe it will be some big suspenseful ending line that will change everything Aang has been working for." But then it ended, and I actually forgot for a minute, but then my sis was like "So... what was the secret?" And you know what? I HAD NO ANSWER FOR HER! And now I hear it was the drill?! Nick has been hyping this up for weeks and for what? Really they should have called the Fury of Aang the Secret of the Fire Nation if they were going for the whole "secret" thing. But this was just lame. I was so dissapointed, you have no idea. That falls under the catagory of false advertising in my book.

Oh, and this may be a bit off topic, but the Teen Titans movie was way better. If you chose to watch SotFN instead of TT:TiT, then I am deeply sorry for you. This was a huge let down to me (though I still love Avatar, my dislike for Nick has increased).
