??Ah well they were just two episodes anyway.

I agree.?? We're making a big deal out of nothing, who really cares how they present it, as long as 1) We saw the episode 2) Know what happened in it and 3) Get closer to the new episodes that are premiering every Friday now.

Please don't kill me for saying that.??

Dude I meant that they were making her character really shallow and if they kept this up all that would be left are the blind jokes and earthbending. Now wouldn't that suck?

Yes it would, but her character wasn't shallow she had develpment in the "Serpents Pass" and for "The Drill" it didn't grew just went down a little but she couldn't see in the drill so she wouldn't be useful.....well SotFN was a follow up for me there going to Ba Sing Se were the real action occurs and the season kicks up.

Dude I didn't say anything about the drill. I kinda wish people wouldn't even focus so much emphasis on that particular part. They could've done more with her "developement" (basically a couple good lines)??in Serpent Pass. You know i think all I caught was the "her character went down" part. ??Ah well they were just two episodes anyway.

Well basicly Ba Sing Se is what were exictited for not it's wall

Toph actually got the most character development. I was afraid in her intro episode that she might become another Katar, but after seeing her insecurity on the ice, inability to swim, and reluctance to get on the drill, I thought she was developed marvelously.

Though, Nick did overhype this thing.

Backtracking eh? Well to be honest it was the same thing for me.??It usually takes me a while to getta into the characters of a show and I always hate new characters right from the getgo, but for Toph, it was the exact opposite. I've liked her since day one. She didn't come of as what do these guys call it, Mary-Sue? (too internety for me) it didn't feel like they were jumping the shark at all, and Jessie Flowers' VA nothing short of perfect. I just feel that her character's been better in every ep besides this one. Nick sucks. Cousin Oliver.

One more thing, a show takes the summer off then starts showing new episodes when the fall starts constitutes a new season, for me this was a seaon premier as it worked the same way as any season premier, excpet much more hype. All the other shows i watch are premiering right now. Also, what will the third book be if aang doesnt learn fire bending. I know this is a weird place to bring it up but i just have to ask this somewhere. Will it simply be called fire because they'll probably be in the fire nation, or will they call it something besides an element.

Im not sure if anything can be ontopic here but lets take a look at what FOA did

    1)Appa stolen

2)Aang becoming explosively angry and suddenly not being this really nice cheerful guy (i like him cheerful but eventually he needs something else and i thought that helped, although he had shown other emotions before)

3)Order of the Lotus, i dont think that was the real name, but i know these guys are gonna be big, real big.

4)The whole eclipse and 'now we have a plan' thing. I thought maybe we'd learn more about this.

5)More random stuff that i cant remember now

6)sokka on cactus juice, this could've been the entire episode

    Now what SOTFN did

    1)Jet

2)Everyone gets to Ba Sing Se

3)Other random stuff i might have missed

It just seems to be that the FOA did alot more with the story than SOTFN did, and after taking such a huge break i expected more than just a runner into the next episodes, even without the hype.

You know your absolutely right, in fact that's what I see this thing as, one big fat Avatar Day. Something really cool about to happen (meeting Toph, Ba Sing Se) but the creators don't want to get right to it. Instead they slap this filler episode (internety again) in between to give us a moment to savor what is to occur. But uh, any show would be pretty sucky if only the first and last episodes of the season were good. I also see Warrior's point and??am waiting for "something"??to happen again. Ya'know?

    The fault lies with Nick.

    1. This isn't a "movie," it's just two episodes that happen to follow directly one into the other.

    2. Nick withheld these episodes for two months which, combined with the hype, probably raised peoples' expectations too high.

    3. After the last "movie," with the solar eclipse revelation, the title of this "movie" was misleading.?? Seriously, if I hadn't already accidentally read a spoiler about the drill, I would have thought this "movie" had something to do with Azula and friends trying to stop the Gaang from revealing to the Earth King that Firebenders lose their bending during a solar eclipse.

This is exactly how I feel. The drill was a surprise not a secret. The entire "The Secret of the Fire Nation" was incredibly misleading and show have been used for the actual secret of the Fire Nation that could change everything: the solar eclipse. Now that's a secret that could change everything. The drill was just a surprise.
