I found out about it from an ad in Nick Magazine, when I was still subscribed to it. I then watched Avatar when I actually got the station.

Well, I heard about this new show premiering on Friday. I though, oh jeez, another crappy Nick show, so I didn't watch. Then, it aired again the next day. I had nothing else to watch, so I watched the show. LOVED IT! Then I started watching on and off. Then I watched the season 1 finale and realized, I need to see every episode of this in order. So i watched every episode and became the rabid fan I am today. Around the time the Fury of Aang aired I came to these forums. The rest is history.

I was at one of my very best friends birthday, her 15th to be exact, and we went to a concert and then the plan for when we got home was put up sleeping bags then watch DOBS. It was great because i had never seen it before so i shushing power whenever they talked. I started watching every episode I could get after that.

Used to watch it when it first came out but didn't really follow it. To make a long story short, I got hooked on ti when a friend told me a new episode (The Avatar and the Firelord) was on. :]

I really don't remember the first episode that i watched. I used to walk by the TV when my little brother was watching it and i guess subconsiously I started to like it as i have all 3 seasons on my Laptop right now. My brother currently switches between liking the show and not liking it. It's all so confusing.

I remember watching it back in 2005 when I was sick with the flu. I had heard about the show but I had never givin it a shot. I decided to watch it because "winter solstace part 1" because I didn't know what else to watch. I watched it, loved it, and have been hooked ever since!

I was completely bored so I decided watchin a show that `I never watched before that was called avatar:the last airbender...It was about how the gang,zuko and his uncle handled the day in ba sin se if that's the way you spell it...

i remember seeing the commercials advertising it before it came out...but i was like ehh.....but then after it aired sometime....there was a marathon on and i was flicking through and it was the first King Bumi episode that i watched cuz nothin else was on ..and i was intrigued....so i kept watching....and i got hooked!

Eh, I didnt watch it until the Blue Spirit came on and nothing else was on. I didnt understand wuts going on so I watched the beginning episodes online because it was quite compelling.

My sister always used to watch it and i'd be like "why do you keep watching this pokemon show" then her and my cousin sat me down and made me watch the Nicksgiving marathon of avatar in November 2005 and I was hooked, then a few weeks later Seige of the North came on and I was REALLY hooked. I roamed on tv.com since the beginning of the 2nd season but finally joined in summer 06.

I saw it advertised, and I thought it might be a cool new show, since I had tired of FOP and SpongeBob...
I watched it, and I was intrigued...I continued watching the show and by the season finale, i was a full Avatard.

That commercial was actually what made me think Zuko would turn good (yes, I thought so before the show even started) because I didn't think you could have somebody that young who was truly evil. This was pre-Azula obviously.

I always watch at least 1 episode of each cartoon. This practice had always been a bad experience for me (90% of Cartoon Network), But Avatar came on, and I said "what the hell, I'll see what's going on." It was Winter Solstice 1. My father was there, and he was all Conservative Christian "NO DEMIN WURSHIPPS1!!!!!!11!!!ELEVENTYONE!" That pretty much propelled me to watch more episodes (Rebellion FTW!) and I became a Fan.

naruto thread they said it sucked but gave it alot of attention, to much attention for a show that "sucked" naruto is still better but i liked the show

I found out from my sister because she would watch it occasionally. I wasn't too thrilled about it until I started watching more episodes in random order. I turned out to be the super addicted one, while my sister isn't as obsessed .
